I will give the advice now that meal worms/superworms dig. Soil/Eco-earth/whatever can be penetrated and you T's cant kill what it can't reach. Crickets are the only thing that I have found that doesnt have a nasty clean up or an ability to dig.

You might want to mix some NONTOXIC soil is so the tree can get nutrients and what not as well as hold moisture a little better. The bonzai is pretty prone to "bad stuff" spider mites being at the top of that list. Just keep a eye on it and you T and you will be fine.
