Currently i have cage clips on my screen lids out of fear of tarantulas escaping but its a pain to take them off and on every time I feed. Has anyone ever had a tarantula escape from pushing up the lid when its on? Do you guys use cage clips yes or no?

Im not worried about the pinktoe he does not even move when im messing around in the tank. Yes I have the long tweasers but he doesnt have a web. I guess he was just not hungry ill try and get the cricket out and let him be for a few days so his tummy starts to rumble. =)

That's not a pic of my t just kinda what he looks like, but based on all the pics I've been looking at iI'm just gonna settle with him being an A. avicularia for now. He is def not as colorful as the versicolour pics ive seen, but he has the redish/brown on his abdomen like the a. avicularia.

I can't tell which my tarantula is. Petco did not even have a label. It def has pink toes and seems to have a blueish hue which i think is metallica? What are the main difference between these two?

I like using these betta fish keepers for small spiders, I've even seen smaller ones. It's just like the bigger critter keepers they just brand it towards betta fish. Already has vents and even a little handle. Can't beat that for 4 bucks...
