As long as you keep the cage clean and free of dead feeder insects, mites probably won't be an issue. I've kept tarantulas for a few years and I have yet to see a mite. Tarantulas are not tricky at all to keep, so long as you know what you're doing.
I'm the same way. My family are night owls and we all stay up until almost 2 a.m, and will leave the light on if I don't turn it off. it drives me insane.
Like should I turn off a light at some point or can the light be left on? My family and I always argue about this, they want to keep the lights on all night but I say it should go off because tarantulas are nocturnal. Thanks!
My guess would be Haplopelma lividum. Its blue and found in southeast asia. They are also pet holes.
But if the LPS doesn't care for its tarantulas properly, I wouldn't advise buying it. All that would do is encourage the LPS to buy more tarantulas and care for them poorly.
Brachypelma or Grammostola sounds like a good choice. I wouldn't let the kids handle it, just because tarantulas and kids are not predictable. If any of the kids get bit your mom would be in trouble.
Good choice, they really are an awesome tarantula. The only pointer I can give it be ready for it to be faster then your G. rosea. It took me by surprise when I got mine.
Could be the mold. Before you put anything you get from outside, like bark, its a good idea to microwave it to kill anything that might be living on it. The mold can get into the tarantulas book lungs and kill it. But don't feel to bad about it, tarantulas, and especially slings, sometimes die...
I don't know much about black widows, but I found a page that might help you.

From experience I know, do your best to seal off any openings they might have into your house, like windows.
She never moulted, and idk if she was wild caught I got her from a dealer. What I really don't want is for the sack to open and wake up with a bunch of slings.
EDIT: Also, after how many days should I pull it, like just your opinions because I have no idea how long until they hatch. And how can...
I'm really more of a casual T owner so I have no idea what to do. Shes been digging a lot for about a week and now she looks skinnier and has a big ball of web in her fangs. I really don't want 100+ baby tarantulas so I might just sell it to someone around here, but in the mean time is there...
So my G. rosea had 2 of her back legs curled under her an hour ago, out of alarm I checked if she was okay and she started walking around as usual. She has a full water dish and just ate a fat cricket yesterday, so I doubt shes dehydrated. Anyone have any ideas?
Tarantulas are always a little thin after a moult because they need to use most of their fluids to moult. Wait a few days for the fangs to harden then feed her.
