Can anyone ID this? I found it caught behind a wall light switch cover. It freaked me out to hear scraping noises that seemed to be in the walls, as I was reading a book on my couch on the wee hours, not understanding where the sound was coming from as everytime I went near, it stopped, but...

Good work! Lucanus95 - Do you have any photos of your setups and colonies? Are all the ones commonly sold to hobbyist (reds, whites, horrids, etc) kept similarly? I also recently started keeping a few and have been given such varied info.

How easy is it to lift the lid? Would we need a way to secure it shut if using with large t's or pedes?

Which type of whipscorpion? If you mean vinegaroons, then yes they can molt on the ground. If you mean the other type (i.e. diadema) then what you've read above is correct from my understanding.

What a wonderful collection. I just picked up my first millipedes at Tinely - gold phase Desert Millipedes. Don't recall the scientific name but I believe they are natives to the U.S. How did you manage to build such a collection ?

I keep my smaller ones in simple deli containers with eco earth. I feed them a variety of invertebrates, depending on what I have on hand ( I keep inverts and reptiles, so generally have a variety of feeders). I've had them take crickets, mealworms, superworms, waxworms, earthworms, soldier...
