    ID South Africa Centipedes please

I'm not 100% sure on how abundant they are, but they do seem to be the most common in the area. This one is roughly 8cm in length, but I have found a few others that exceed that by a small amount Looking at the Caramel-ish one with a Magnifiying glass it appears to have a black head as well...

Well well well, fancy seeing you here. I've actually been looking for Ethnostigmus for a while but all we get here are small blue centipedes with red heads, and some sort of Caramel coloured one with a black lateral stripe.

what is your favorite scorpion in your collection

I'm sort of stuck between my Parabuthus villosus "oranje" and my Hottentotta gentilis But I guess I'd have to go with P. villosus due to its amazing colour scheme

    Hadogenes Question

I've encountered some of our local Hadogenes species before. They like to live in areas where soil is soft, moist enough to dig in and can't be clumped up easily. Interesting little guys but I'm more interested in Exotic species

An interesting question regarding T. stigmurus and breeding

So, most of us know that T. stigmurus is parthenogenetic (or whatever the spelling is) and that there are extremely few (if even a single one) in the hobby. Now my question is, would a T. stigmurus still be capable of breeding normally if a male were to ever be found (how ever unlikely that is)...

    "pet" scorpion in apartment, ok?

Depends if it's a local or exotic species. Get a local species and if they complain, say it's not a exotic pet, it's a local pet. I think if they allow dogs and cats but won't allow a scorpion which takes up half a dresser/countertop then I don't know what

solifugids actually lives longer than we think

I must say, this was a interesting read. I'm actually quite surprised at how similar the overseas species look to our local species here. The only time I ever contemplated keeping a Solifugid was when I found a small purple one with deep red bristles. Prettiest thing I've ever seen but then it...

How many in 55 gallon tank?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a sociopath or sadistic person. All I'm saying is that I myself have no real problems with people experimenting. I love animals dearly and while I commend Venomlover for wanting to try something new and go against the grain, I don't necessarily condone or support what...

How many in 55 gallon tank?

I commend you venomlover for wanting to try something different and go against the norm. You seem to be one of those kinds of people that think outside of the box and aren't afraid of trying something new and for that I commend thee. Now, I have no idea how long or how wide a 55 Gallon is. In...
