One more thing - she totally pwned the banded tunnel-web (Hexathele hochstetteri) that was living at the opposite end of the terrarium this morning - aggressive little gal. (as you can see, she wasn't too happy with the camera lens.) :mad:

The pic is of my tunnelweb spider 'Doloras'. She resembles a Porrhothele antipodiana in size and shape - but not colour, as she is totally black (without the yellowish cephalothorax). Also Porrhothele are very uncommon in the upper North Island.

Bad news... I awoke to find the banded tunnelweb (the new addition) almost dead with a puncture wound to her abdomen, and a very aggressive black tunnelweb prowling around the terrarium ready to bite anything that came close to her.
I know this is a "I-told-you-so"...

It might seem irresponsible to some but, I think I'll leave both in the enclosure for now and see what happens.
