Well She had two. They have both molted for the first time and like my book said, you should remove them and care for them as if they are independent. mom had a fit, It doesn't seem like she really cares that they are gone. it's been about 10 min since I removed them. I'm guesing there are...
Hi guys I have Heterometrus sp. unsexed specimen that is now proven female. Because it had a scorpling. first off. HOW!?!? I bought "her" about a month before christmas at a reptile expo along with a rose hair. second off. can they only have on baby at a time? and again how? I also would...
Hi guys, I found a 2.5 in. pinktoe at my local pet store, which caries some pretty cool animals, that is selling for $40. I was hesitant to buy it because their distributer didn't give them any specific name other than pinktoe. If it's an A. avicularia, than I might not buy it. Its abdomen is...
I am a fairly new owner of a red eyed tree frog. Everything has been fine since I've had him (only about 2 weeks now). This evening I noticed a spot appear on him that I've not seen before and I am concerned. It is a small white-ish colored spot between his shoulders on his back. It seemed...
BQC, you've helped me me feel much better about this! I'd be delighted to get some pics of him active tonight. :) I'll see if your feeding scheduel works out!
Thanks so much! :)
I've feed him about 6-7 time times since I got him. The first night I just let him settle in. I gave him one cricket, about medium sized, the next night, he loves to eat. :D Then I read some article that said something like 12-16 a week!!! So I gave him 2 that night. Ever since he's been...
I got my new red eyed tree frog 9 days ago. When I got him he was slim. He's the size of every other red eyed tree frog I've seen on youtube or google images. This a picture of him from a few days ago. Is this a bit large for a red eyed tree frog? If so, how can I fix it?
Can I ask you this? Why would you want to "down-grade" you T to a smaller enclosure as it grows? A 10 gal is fine for any T as long a it has enough substrate/height.
That's a good idea. In fact, I'll make a video of taking her out re-doing her cage and putting back in. And hopefully I can sex the moult. I'll see I can post it Saturday or Sunday.
Hey guys. I have a 2 in. OBT that just moulted into a 3 in. OBT. She, I hope, is to big for her web tunnel but will be fine in the enclosure until her next moult. Is it okay to reuse her substrate. She was the only been used for her before. It's also relatively fresh. It's only been in use...
the starburst baboon is called Pterinochilus Murinus and they like it dry. They are semi everythig. some like to burrow, like mine, and some like to become arboreal. They are also big webbers. The haplo will like moist with lots of substrate. both of these species can be really nasty so be...
