    Overfeeding?

I feed my adults once every 10-30 days, and slings once every 5-15 days (leaving the more full looking ones out 'til the next feeding).

Anybody ever apologies to their Ts

I talk to them, you know, just saying what's on my mind like: "Wow, you $#itt@d everywhere!" or "Are you hungry? (offers food) yea, you were hungry." I apologize all of the time too, so I guess it's pretty normal since all of you do as well. Also +1 on the "I wish they could talk", would be...

    Emperor stress

I've seen my adults and scorplings do this several times. Worried me at first because when I lost my first one a couple of years ago it was laying with the tail flat out for a couple of days then I realized it had died in that position, looking the same as it did when I made sure it was still a...

New at this! Would love some help

I can start by giving you a small list of a few of my fav personally kept beginner T's, and my opinions about them. You can research them for the facts. Avicularia versicolor - My personal fav T, period, super beautiful and really cool. They move kinda quickly, but kinda simple to keep, and...

Thinking too much about my choice of "my first"

I'm gonna put my thoughts into this as I was where you are now not too long ago. 1st off, it seems more like you're asking us to TELL YOU WHAT to get, rather than just recommendations. Not saying that this is your goal but it just kinda seems like that. The only thing I can say about that is...

Tank for my female Hysterocrates sp. Cameroon

Also interested in seeing how well this serves, but also gotta say it does look good and original to me. Good job on the cage!

Avic webbed the door shut lol (advice?)

Yea, I go through this with my A. Versicolor. Been webbing my access point since day one. Eventually gets the hint and stops, but with every rehousing comes new opportunity to annoy me, lol. Gotta love them for trying to make some kinda privacy though huh?

    A. avic question re: webbing.

Lol @ the last few posts, I think about that all the time. Would be interesting huh? Anyways, just wanted to mention my 3 Avic Avic specimens. I started with a penultimate male who webbed his entire cork bark to the wall with a tube web almost right after I introduced him to his cage. He...

    Candles and incense... Harmful?

I'm no expert, but I don't think that what you do can really be harming them. Just thinking about it, I would think that the heat of a candle would do more harm to them than any fragrance it can give off. Probably be more dangerous to fart on them, lol. Incense on the other hand do cloud the...

    Damon diadema and millipedes?

I'd love to see how this turns out. I've been looking into amblypigids over the last few months, and am planning a nice setup very similar to what you mention. I think they are among the most exotic of pets, and want to provide a very exotic setup. I'll probably start with one in a nice...

    Unexpected Emperor Babies... Advice?

Hello there everyone! I was watering my critters tonight right before leaving to work to find a white mass on my emperor's back and got very excited, but then kinda worried at the same time. I'm not sure when she gave birth, as the last time I actually saw her was about a week ago. I wasn't...

    Spider Myths

Thanks to the OP and all you others for sharing these links. Will definitely be very useful and helpful!

    Might be a silly question but . . .

Yea, I think that as long as the Chaco is fed you before you leave, it should be fine. The suntiger is definitely gonna need some water though, depending on your environmental conditions and ventilation it may not hold enough moisture during the week if it decided to molt while you were gone...

    T "personality" Discussion

My thoughts on it have pretty much been summed up by both Aquacat and Hobo. I do believe that they each have their own personalities but just to a certain degree, but then again I guess just that little difference that separates each from the other would be classified as a personality, as these...

    My enclosures in the works.

Very nice work!! I've been so lazy to get started on doing this for myself, but then again I don't really have much time to myself since working the grave yard shift. When I do in fact finally take to the work table, I just hope mine comes out as nice as yours, I love it.

I keep finding little white things growing in my substrate!!!! Please help me.

What you show in your pic is exactly what I find in mine, just not so much at a time as I usually clean it out after about a week or so. It's also exactly what's seen in the pics that are in the threads linked by Hobo up above, and confirmed to be a form of feces. I was going nuts about it for...

I keep finding little white things growing in my substrate!!!! Please help me.

After all of the poop threads I've read to confirm that what I was finding wasn't a form of feces, and all of the pics I've seen, I must say THANK YOU HOBO!!! Pics from the 1st thread are kinda unclear but resemble the poop I'm used to seeing, but the comparison pics on the 2nd link's 4th page...

I keep finding little white things growing in my substrate!!!! Please help me.

What I have most definitely isn't feces, can't speak for the OP's though. Feces is more of a gooey transparent whitish substance, that dries flat and runny. I'm getting small concentrated clusters of solid white, tiny, oval shaped things that stick out about half a millimeter from the walls...
