I have a couple of Avicularia avicularia. I belive they are the easiest to move from enclosure to enclosure I have, except Grammostola rosea.
I don`t hadle my tarantulas, but the gentle stroll of my avic`s invite me to it :)
Pretty tarantulas, with decorative hides.

I would let them borrow, just "help" them to burrow where you want, and you can still watch them ;)
With this setup, my Citharischius crawshayi have never been agressiv or defensive. If I scare it, it just runs down her safe burrow :)
And I think it`s interesting to see them do "their...
Hi!
I use lots of moss, stones and roots from the nature in my enclosures. I have never experienced a problem with this. I usually put things in the deep freezer 1 or 2 days before I use them, but since I live in norway, I thinks most of the beasts will survive this anyway.
Never...
This is how I rehoused my Aphonopelma seemanni.
Alot of substrate already removed.
Using gloves this time, hate those urticating hairs
Here she is
In her transport box
In her new enclosure
My P.murinus usually slaps my forceps when I disturb her. One time, my female L.parahybana went crazy and decided to take her meal with brute force, when I was "hand feeding" her. I was shocked about how strong she actually was. Felt like someone tried to snatch it out of my hands. :P

I have experienced something similar. As you can see in the picture, she has grabed the roach with her fangs, without the posibility to penetrate it :P
After some struggeling, she got a better grip, and the roach ended up as a little bolus :)
Avicularia avicularia egg sac :D
HI!
Some weeks ago, I tried to mate my Avicularia avicularia female with a borrowed male. It went very well, and after about 3-5 days, she dropped a sac. On Saturday night, I colud not control my curiosity any more, and decided to pull the sac.
Her burrow...

If I had that limit, I would choose to exceed it :D *sorry*
Here is alot of info about P.murinus http://venomlist.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10985
It`s a hard choice, becase they are both one of my favorites, but I think P.murinus.

This little cutie i bought 3 days ago. It is about 1". I tried to feed her, when she suddenly decided that i was a much better meal than the mealworm :P
Thanks :D
The plants and the moss are natural. The moss helps keeping the humidity high, but requires misting to remain green and beautiful.
I am afraid the plants will die in lack of light, but time will tell.
