T aggressively go for food, then change mind?

My A. Versi does the same except I was always using tongs I don't remember if you said you were or not. But anyway soon as roach got close enough, Pounce! then wait then all sudden starts walking away. If I try to pursue him with the roach he just moves faster running away. My conclusion for...

    Misting machines/timers

I am thinking of getting a automatic mister since it is really hard to find someone who could watch my T's while I leave for a week or so. I know that if any of my T's were to escape with me being gone, the person who is watching them will not try to catch or contain that T, nor go back into my...

A guide for Identifying pinktoes??pet store bought pinktoe?what is it??

a picture would really help. Did you try and change the picture format to jpeg? Also I believe the size has to be around 100kb. I could post a pic of my A.Avic but I'm sure you have gone through Avic photo's already. So final note a picture would really be most benifical. :)

in the last picture, focus on the middle of the pic then look slowly towards the upper left. It's a little blurred but there is a faded out spider.

    Sick T. Stirmi HELP!!!

Dam man, ya a picture would be nice. Sounds to me like what you said Dehydration. But if you been keeping her in an ICU for couple weeks then I couldn't tell you. Also joint leakage, not sure. Is she still feeding? I wonder if a lower temp would help. Well good luck with her. Let us know whats...

    Acanthoscurria geniculata questions

She is probably just starting her premolt wait a week try and feed her again. I definately would not feed her a pinkie. At least not before she is about to start Premolt. Don't want her exoskelly to get hard when she is about to molt. Could have problems.

    A. Seemani premolt?

She is probably fine, just leave her alone and let her molt. It would be nice to check on her to see if she had gotten injured but if indeed she is in premolt and nearing a molt then I would say let her be.

    Recommendation for next T?

    A. Versi - Very docile, Also they have great color changes from sling to maturity. I'd say all around really solid and hardy T. Usually quiet active aswell. A. Diversipes - Have not owned so I cant tell you much other than I want one :). H. Mac - Awsome T, but pretty fast and potent bite. Mine...

    My Favorite T

my H. mac is the fairly quick, and Docile so far. He/she is still a juvi still has some molting to do. But is very flighty, for example. While feeding, I normaly tong feed if I haven't seen them take a roach in a while, But anyway I had a roach in the tongs and was letting it tickle some of the...

Any Ideas of what should be my 6th tarantula?

I myself would go P. irminia cuz That is the next arboreal i am getting, along with a H. gigas. Maybe look into an H. maculata or some Avic's.
