Fortunately, there's no Petco around here; only a very stinky PetSmart that doesn't have tarantulas. I got Nessah from a local petshop that really takes care of the critters they keep. So, we haven't made up our minds what species we're going to get next. First things first, though--we need...
To everyone who wanted an update--I buried Vanessah Friday evening. I put her in a Tiffany & Co. box and buried her in the landcape in front of the house with her little log as a grave marker. She was incredibly limp when I picked her up, so I think she had been dead for quite a while. Thanks...
Well, folks, I put her in a tiny critter keeper with a damp paper towel last night, but I honestly don't think she's going to revive. She had drawn up more. The night before, her two frontmost legs on the left side were extended, but yesterday evening, they were tucked up underneath her too...
Thanks, I'll put her in a tiny critter keeper in the closet and hope for the best.

Thanks, I'll do that. I didn't take her out of her home because I was afraid it would stress her more. I'll put her in the closet where its nice and dark, and she won't be bothered. I'm not getting my hopes up though.....
Her legspan was probably 3". We had her for 2 1/2 years. She was one of the first gifts that I got my hubby. He said he had always wanted one as a kid, but his mom wouldn't let him have one. So I got her for him.
Sorry to hear about your loss, Brazil. I feel kinda responsible for her...
That was my plan. Hubby wanted to put her in a baggie and put her in the fridge, but I told him no. I thought at first that she might come out of it b/c she was moving, but now I think she was just having spasms. I feel so terrible. We cried each other to sleep last night.......
Last night my cats knocked my C. Rosea's home over. It fell probably two feet and landed on it's top. When we turned it over, she had curled her legs under herself, and was twitching. She wasn't bleeding at all. We put her in the kitchen where it was dark so as not to bother her. This...
