I saw some "Asian Scorpions" all bunched up in a tank and got some.I cant tell what species they are or if they still have any molts left.
Is this a Longimanus, Spinifer, or Laoticus? I took notice of the black telson, so im guessing Laoticus..
Haha, only true fans would ever notice. I'm still waitin' to listen to their new album.
Thanks, I will indeed keep this thread updated with pics and video.
Oh, should put a little water dish in there? I read that desert scorpions get all of their water from their prey.
Thanks very much. They ordered a tank for it apparently, I currently have it in the little plastic bottom shelf of a mini fridge. Workin' with I have out here. But in my experience, once he gets into a sizeable tanks and adapts he should start eating.
Oh and, they also ordered some crickets...
Well IMO some people are <edit> stupid. They're are people dying, animals fighting, and people fighting scorpions and spiders on youtube. But they had my video deleted because I fed my scorpion a gecko... Something that NATURALLY occurs in the wild. They got put in their place though when a...
LOL, is that a lizard? Last time I posted a lizard gettin' eaten a bunch of tools startin' bitching.
Oh and I had a 20 gallon tank full of four spinifers and it was perfect IMO. Well, except for the one female I was sold by ken when I asked for only males. Got pregnant.
Im serving in iraq and my co workers caught themself a nice adult Iraqi fat tail. I forget the scientific name. Naturally, they came rushing over to me because they know I am in the hobby.
I immediately removed him from the plastic bottle full of water and placed him in a make shift...
Yeah it sucks. My first emp died as well as many other different breeds. Buy from a reputable source next time. Maybe try and get a spinifer from kenthebugguy.com
OMG yes. I remember when I went to a pet store and THEY were askin' ME questions about the scorpions lol.
I wanna attempt 2 spinifers and 2 emperors in a 20 gallon tank. I once had 4 spinifers in a 20 gallon, it was awesome.
Thanks for the replies.
Oh yeah, what is the other...
Ive had both at different times. I know they are both communal, but I would like to try keep both species together. Has this ever been attempted? Is it even a feasible idea?
I was browsing and saw this at nwinverts.com. Apparently there is a new scorpion coming here? It looks like a yellow emp, very nice.
Anyone know anything about them? Temperment? Habitat etc etc

Just thought i'd bold what i said earlier. Yes, these statements are exactly how i feel about this arrogant thread. Thank you.
Oh, and yes I do realize that wild caught prey is potentially detrimental to my scorpion. But isnt gathering them from the wild and ummm shipping them in boxes and...
Yeah, cause who would ever get these type of creatures with these thoughts in mind:rolleyes:
You are a more conservative owner who is satisfied with feeding your scorpions crickets and captive bred food and I am not. And thats it, we are different.
Ok, I can respect and understand your oppinions of feeding scorpions captive food. Its just plain good scorpion care, and doesn't allow the risk of infection.
But I just like to see my scorp take down large prey. I mean, ask yourself why did you get a scorpion in the first place? Its for...
