    Molting bleeding normal?

UPDATE.. Mealworm was lost in cage, I did not know it was there. So I was not feeding it prior to molt. I had been watching a large amount of webbing and knew it was up to something. Seems it may have been dehidrated. I have a water dish in cage but it doesn't go to it. So I sprayed a few...

    Molting bleeding normal?

I ran a search and found nothing on this. Just from alleged injuries only(bad molts) Is it normal after a fresh molt to have oozing or bleeding from legs and/or body. My GBB molted and had a mealworm beetle in the cage by it in it web and I saw 2 blood drops. One on leg the other on...

    Video: (Holding T. blondi & H.lividum)

Question? Do or will you get bit when they stop moving or while they are moving? (I have not been bit YET). I don't normally handle my T's but when I have to (escapes or cleaning) I am O.K. with them walking over my hands, but when they stop moving I get the Heebeegeebees:eek: .

    Tarantulas that attack water drops

My 5" L. Parahybana will attack water until it plunges into the dish then it all over. Also likes to rip tongs from my finger tips when I pull the dish out to clean, the first time that happened I pretty much crapped my pants. My 3" N. chromatus also like to attack water drops and threat...

    l.para, pet hole?

If it molted a week ago, maybe it lost a fang through the molt. Is it visible to tell if it did or not. If it has it's fangs don't worry, just keep putting in dead crix every other day or so, and removing any that aren't eaten by the next day. Eventually it will eat if it's hungry. My...

My B. vagan, and L. Parahybana are both petholes (each 2" in size) Both have sealed themselved in. My 1.5" C. Facinatum has burrowed but my 1.5" GBB stays out in open. Patience in definately a must.:)

    Chaco dropped a couple inches

Actually if you keep the choco in with the substrate it will burrow and then you won't have a problem with it coming up when you open it. Plus it is safer for the T. I have 6 slings now and all have stayed in there burrows when I open to feed. Except my GBB, it stays on top and pounces on...

Raise Or Buy? The Cricket Issue

:? I noticed all you roach lovers are from states that have snow in the winter, right? What about us Floridians? I am very nervous about roaches as they won't have the cold to kill them off if they escape. The only foolproof way to keep roaches out is to not bring them in. I have lost...

    First sling's

Haha, Nerri, My B. Albopilsoum is like 1/4 inch. When I look inside it's container I have a hard time finding it right away. So far feeding them is not a problem, except for the tiny Albopilsoum. My GBB got wired and shot out today when I opened it's container for feeding. Gave...

    H. gigas - Sudden Behavior Change / Dying?

Just a question since I am new to T's, but wouldn't rehousing it cause even more stress to it and further it's decline?:? Just a thought. But good luck. I hope for the best.

    First sling's

Wow just tried a feed for my new babes, and my GBB tried to attack the tweezers I used to feed a 1/4" cricket to it:eek: . That sucker was mean, and defensive, or very hungry. My L. Parahybana is very laid back but busy rearanging things to it's liking. The others aren't hungry yet. Is it...

    Do tarantulas itch?

    Ahh, so I'm not the only one that has seen this. Mine did the same thing when my wife was holding it. I freaked and told her to close her eyes and hold her breathe so the hairs wouldn't get in them but there were no hairs flicked. She thought I was nuts.:}

    MALE COBALT??? Help Identifing

Ouch, the guy is asking an honest question. He states he bought it as an H. Lavidium, so he asumed the sales person had a clue about what they were selling. Cut him some slack. Anyhow, can you get a closer shot of it Steelweb?
