    Tropical Springtails vs Temperate Springtails

Does anyone here use Tropical Springtails as part of a clean up crew, instead of Temperate? Just curious to know how they're working out. I ordered some for my Madagascar Hissing Cockroach enclosures.

    Crazy Brachypelma auratum

Almost every night my female Brachypelma auratum climbs to the top corners of the back drop and gnaws away.... She is biting & shredding the styrofoam; if you listen closely you can her trying to bite chunks out of it. I've been keeping tees for 13 years and I've never witnessed such. What is...

    Breeding Question

My adult female Nhandu Chromatus molted 2 months ago and I've been feeding her pretty good. She ate a very hefty meal yesterday. My question is: Should I go ahead and pair her up with my adult male (he's ready to breed) today or wait a few days? This is my first breeding attempt; any advice will...

    Venom Potency & Prey Items?

Does venom that's possibly lethal to homo sapiens (humans) effect prey items the same way? For example, Hadrurus arizonensis venom is typically not lethal to humans, but Androctonus australis venom can potentially expire a full grown man. Does this mean that a sting from Androctonus australis...

    Roaches?

I've been pleased with my dubia roach colony; it has served me well thus far. However, the only draw back is that some will burrow or even play dead. Is there a roach species that will constantly move (similar to crix) while in the tees/scorps enclosures and yet still has a good meat to shell ratio?

    A good beginner?

I would go with Brachypelma smithi, Brachypelma albopilosum, or maybe even Avicularia avicularia....jmo.

    Feeding Babycurus jacksoni babies?

I had success breeding my Babycurus jacksoni and she had a few babies. I can only visibly see about 6, but I have the breeding pair and the babies in a fairly good size enclosure with a large piece of bark, so I'm thinking she may have more lil scorplings in there. I've been giving them about 15...

    Egg Sac Consumption

Sooooo.... I woke up this morning to a horrible discovery: My T. Okerti ate her egg sac after 21 days of parenting and I'm absolutely livid!! What are some of the reasons why females consume their egg sac? The sac looked good and my T room is in the basement so it's never disturbed and it stays...
