I am quite surprised that you were bitten. I raise and breed these, and never once have been bitten. Posting that you did is good info. Great little spiders, ferocious with prey. :D

This looks a great deal like Maevia inclemens, but I am unsure if their range even extends into Canada. I could be wrong on the range.
