Mold
I'd lose the substrate. I had the most success with mine by placing the male and the female inside one of those 10 gallon blue storage bins that you can find in walmart. With plenty of paper egg shell cartons to provide hiding. They love it dark and don't care about substrate.
So I purchased a t that was sold as an Asian Chevorn "Thai Tiger". She had the coloring that would make her appear to be. She just molted and is now a stunning BLUE. Can anyone direct me to what she could be? Also I notice her legs appear to be curled under, will they straighten out?
For one, lose the paper towels. And open up her space, she is stressing in that little space. Put her in some substrate (peat moss) with the proper humidity and temperature. I'd recommend no light, until absolutely necessary.
Update
For the first time since I've had her my Hap. is burrowing and I am going to pull up a chair, crack a cold one with a warm one on the side and watch.
Yeah She seems to be good. She's hiding in her log burrow for now. I fed her a few crickets but she prefers live feeder mice, so back to the store today to get a small mouse for her.
Thanks..the substrate is actually really moist I mixed coconut fiber and topsoil, then just put coconut fiber on the top for looks, that is why it appears dry. As for the pinktoe's...maybe a bottle top but that beta tank is about the like 5.5"H x 4.5"-5" W and The T still has plenty of room...
Mine refused to burrow...it found a spot under the plant webbed it and stayed there. I have recently redecorated and started a burrow to see if she will burrow...as far as biting goes..Mine jumped at me a while back..I mean, a serious vertical leap!! Thank God for quick reflexes.
