I don't think we are on the same page here.
I was talking about the enclosure.
are you talking about the icu?
And if you are talking about the enclosure, then no there was no cotton wool in the enclosure. That is a breeding ground for bacteria. And the temp is kept constant between 74...
Like salt said, it depends on the spiesies. i dont have clay pots etc. in my enclosures but when i move them over to a new home i try to arrange the loggs and then dig what woud look like the begining of a burrow. And if they decide to use it they will dig a bit further and make their own...
The sub aperes to be sand. if so you would want to change that. i prefer peat moss. but you can also use coc fiber etc. The pic isnt realy clear but it does apeares to be molting, but if it hass been at it for more then 24 hours you might have a problem. what is the humidity level in the enclosure?
A piece of bark just for show and then peat moss.
Didn't find any mites in the enclosure.
And if there were any there would have been some in the other enclosures aswel.
Hi there ladies and gents
Havent been able to have some chats with you all in some time. been a bit buzy with work and all.:o
Wel let me get right down to the problem.

That is also true lol:8o
@ the op
Where have you been keaping the T?
In your closet, on a shelf in you room, hass your room got a nice big window to allow sun to enter through (dont let the sun shine on you t enclosure) and do you have any means of temp control in your room. eg. aircon...
Hi
Wel my G. pulchripes is always out and about. constantly reconstructing her tararium. but as soon an she enters premolt she closes up her burrow and i just have to wait until she comes out. I suppose thats just what they do.:?
congrats on finding the t, hoping the t pulls through for you.
lost my P. fasciata once found it a few days later but it didn't make it. so you are lucky.{D
Well you haven't seen my mum text yet lol.
@ The op
I have only been on the forum for the past few months and even though people can get a bit carried away on some threads, its very rare that it actually gets to the point off personal attacks between the op's and the people posting on the...
I found a few crix like the ones you are describing in my B. albopilosum cage and i rehoused him just to be on the safe side.
like arachnos482 said rather safe then sorry.
Not to be rude but Offkilter said he doesn't think it is premolt.
and then directly after his post you say " premolt it is "
how did you come to this conclusion after just one post, did something happen ?
Hey
i think that enclosure might be a bit small for that t.
For terrestrial t's the rule of thumb is that the length of the cage should be 2.5 times the t's leg span, the width should be 1.5 times its leg span and the hight above the sub should be 1.5 times the t's leg span.
So i guess...
