I used to just write everything down in a notebook. Example:
July 2nd: P. Murinus molted, too small to sex
But now that I have 8 P. Murinus and many other multipes it doesn't work as well. So I've decided to take those little round stickers people usually use to price things at a yard...
I got this female about 3 months ago. She didn't have the biggest appettite, but she did eat a few crickets here and there. The last time I actually saw her was last week. She always hid out in the back of the enclosure behind some fake wood. I misted her tank twice in the past week. I go...
I was wondering about the various ways to package and ship crickets, roaches, mealworms... just feeders in general. Also, where do you buy your shipping supplies? Thanks! :)
Well, he/she didn't make it. :( It tried to molt for real yesterday. Today when I noticed it hadn't really gotten anywhere I assisted. I managed to get part of it free but that wasn't enough. I left it to rest and when I came back it was gone. :(
I just got a 2" H. Giga in the mail today. I rehoused it into a vial with some peat/vermiculite and a few sprays of water. A few hours later I was walking by and I saw it on its back. It was moving its legs in and out, over and over slowly. I figured it was either dying or molting. I left...
I got some due to all the praising on these forums. Just my luck that my Ts are picky! Most of them downright refuse to eat them, and a couple just are too lazy to go hunting for them when they burrow in the dirt. Now I have a way-too-huge colony just growing and growing. :wall:
Forgive me if this was mentioned before, I did not find it while searching the forums. (I could just be blind though)
I have WAY too many lobster roaches. Out of 21 tarantula, only 3 will eat them/can catch them. They are breeding faster than I can feed them. I'm willing to send some off...
That's a neat idea! I've been using long canning jars as the burrows, put up against the side of the tank so I can look in. Whenever I need to take the tarantula out I pop the canning lid on and lift out. That really helps for my cobalt with the super bad attitude. ;) I'll have to try your...
{D I am the wife in this situation and HE'S telling me to slow down. (money wise though, not simply because they are tarantulas) Just get more, what is she really going to do anyways? :wicked:
Not much to say here. I'm 25, married and living in VA. I have 2 tartantulas with 2 more on the way. (red knee, pinktoe, chilean rose, and skeleton) I also have fish, clams, hamsters, cats, dogs, and an iguana. ;) I've been lurking and have read a ton of helpful information so I'm looking...
