actually yes, they are QUITE romantic, and yes using emotional words for a spider is a bit ridiculous. However, i know they dont come from the sandiest of areas BUT he doesnt seem to mind, in fact he seems to enjoy from my observations. Us, as humans have aboslutely NO way to know for sure...
I use sand, for one T as a experiment. the T is a B. Boehmei, he LOVES it, he hid way more before I made the switch, and his foot prints in it are adorable. He also spent way more time on the sides of the tank before I made the switch, and he has molted twice in it, he is happy.
My curly hair just had his ultimate molt, I could have swore he was a she but hooks appeared! He is my first full grown T!!!!! Sad he is a male though, if anyone is in KS and wants to mate a curlyhair. (sorry for the derail, if this was the old west, I would likely be a train robber)
On the heat matt part, zillas get WAY to hot, I had one on the bottom of a arboreals enclosure, and if it was a ground dweller it certainly would have beek cooked, I have another brand which are 2 watters, just a little extra heat and I feel them nearly daily to make sure they do not overheat...
to falk, that thing is adorable!!!!

My N. Chromatus is the most docile creature I have, only ever went to the "im big and mean" position for the tongs, because she has bitten them before and it scared her. She is about 4 inches right now and has NEVER kicked a hair, which I find odd, very odd, even my B. emilia throws hair...
Some people try to breed spiders and fail, and you just get one and look at that.... Keep us all updated!!! Very exciting, I know it is a decient amount of work seperating the babies, then tending to them, really if you dont want to much of a headache do the only the strong survive method...
i have a versicolor and my enclosure is bigger than that, and she is happy. I can say though give it plenty to walk around on, exploration and things to webb off of. I dont have the most experience and I recently just got the tank set where I am satisfied!
to meyken this government takes pride in catching people from other countries and putting them through what US citizens have to go through, hell there is a guy from canada I used to deal with on some aspects and now the DEA is chasing him around CANADA, not even in this country and they are...
