She looks fine to my eyes in the pictures you posted... Maybe if you are seeing other behavior that you are having a hard time describing, try taking a short video of the animal via phone and upload it online, post a link here and that way we can actually see what you are? Just an idea...
Best...
I would change the layout and set up the tank as arboreal with a big piece of cork laying up against the glass in a vertical fashion, use something like a mixture of peat and sand for a substrate, but offer vertical cork slabs... For a humid hide, I'd use a cork tube stuffed with damp sphagnum...
Looks like webbing to me, however, there appear to be black dotting (going to assume mold spots as per Boina), mine throw this type of webbing down prior to molting... Hopefully this helps! I'm also curious as to what species this is!
Agreed, wasn't trying to argue with you at all!! And yeah I don't offer dishes to Parabuthus until around 5i... Andros never get them! Additionally, I found your post pretty interesting, first time I've seen a drowning from condensation. Good luck to you!
Cheers,
Rob
Will,
Hypothetically speaking, I wouldn't leave a food item in overnight, even pre-killed... One food source?? You should really re-read my post again. Most reptile stores around me have 2-3 types of roaches (I breed Lats) that makes 3-4 types of roaches to feed, not a single source. Also I...
He hit it right on the head there, it would be a hot mess... Just stick with bigger roaches and your pede will be fine. Also, don't get bit as others have said!! I know 2 people that have been bit, one had to goto the hospital and one sat at home hyperventilating for around 12-14 hours (both of...
I use small water dishes in all my enclosures (save Andros)!! Notably, the avatar picture to the left is of a Parabuthus Trans drinking from a water bottle lid. I noted my P. Vill's (blacks) would also prefer water dishes (small water bottle lids), I found most of all the Parabuthus I've kept...
Keep on a mix of coco fiber / vermic or peat / vermic.... Remember this is a rain forest animal that enjoys higher humidity with good ventilation... Sand would be awful, not sure with lignocel, but coco would be better then almost anything... Springtails are your friends as well
Cheers,
Rob
Don't understand your question, but that animal doesn't look healthy (looks like its close to passing, IMO)... Sorry... What are the temps and humidity in cage? When did that animal feed last?
Best Regards,
Robert
I will be going and the venue will supposedly be less confusing (more of just a big room) and there will be 8-10 additional vendors when compared to last year!
Cheers,
Robert
