It is selfish, but it's not hard, well some species can be difficult. All they have to do is ask though, I'm still open for any questions even though I do not keep anything at the moment because I know about a wide variety of species. What are you going to do with your collection?
Well it's people want things for little to nothing as well, so they only get one. Well like AzJohn said, you can't breed with one. If it's something that you don't commonly see you should get a duo at least, but a trio would be a better idea. Then ask the breeder to keep track of who he sells...
It was in my storage closet and I'd rather them there then Brown Recluse and those types of spiders. From what I've read on that species, they eat hobo spiders & brown recluse. If the closet starts to get overran with them then I'll relocate them when the time comes.
Yea, I know that from experience. When we go 4-wheeler riding through the woods they always have huge webs with these spiders directly in the center. Usually I take my machete and do a circle to get some of the web and the spider then I set off against a different tree or something. I was just...
I'm not too big on spiders but I do find them fascinating and I want to keep one or two and I'm almost debating on keeping the Orb weavers, but I have some questions.
1.) Are they good climbers?
2.) Are they interesting to own, if anybody has owned them before?
3.) Any caresheets...
She was back there this morning with her sacs, she must move them at night?
Anyways I attempted to relocate her sacs which was done smoothly but she kept running so I couldn't get her. She kept running under the vinyl and in the corne, so I was left with no choice but to spray the area with...
I used to sell scorpions, so I could sell the widows but I don't know how much of a market there is for them that's why I was trying to see if anybody was interested in owning any. I'm not going to try to get rich off it but if somebody else will enjoy then might as well.
It's a brand new...
Well where she is right now is in the corner under my carport by my storage shed. I know it looks messy there but it's cause I cut the grass the other day and I was blowing with the leaf blower and some of the stuff wouldn't go and then they have little concrete chunks there.
I'm going to have to resort to natural things to keep them away from the house and my bike then.
I really hope they don't pop tonight while I'm at work.
You've got to be kidding me. I don't want all those little slings near my 4-wheeler or near my storage closet either. Since I'm not familiar with spiders, how long until they pop? I mean how long on average does it take. That means I have to find the male and get rid of him.
I'll have to see if I can find something, as it stands I live in a brand new sub-division.
How good can they climb, like smooth plastic? I'm going to take a stick and wrap the web and the sacs and put them in a plastic container and go drive somewhere to release them.
I guess I could do that, but I'm not particularly too fond of spiders(go ahead and laugh). Until I started keeping scorpions I was actually scared of spiders. So I'd really rather not keep one as a pet, though I have to admit she's quite nice looking. Are there really going to be 400-500 babies...
Because it's right by my storage closet and right where I walk because the door opens from that corner and I park my 4-wheeler right there as well and if the spider ends up on my 4-wheeler I'm going to kill it then because I don't want to get bit while I'm out riding in the woods. So I'm going...
