Before my A. seemani passed away, she was by far the most aggressive (defensive) t I have ever owned. But now it's my G. pulchripes. But that's only because I have 2 Ts right now:p She will get in a threat posture if a paint brush goes in there!
Its only been my terrestrials that have put dirt into their water dishes. Why do they do this? I give my G. pulchripes and B. albopilosum water all the time, and within a day, there is always dirt in it. Sometimes they flip it as well. The pulchripes is a 4" F, and the albopilosum is a 3.5+" F...
I was actually thinking about buying a new avic and 2 Brachy slings. I'm gonna start collecting again! Sports and stuff just got into the way of collecting, along with skateboarding. But yeah, sometime these nextt
two weeks i should get an avic and 2 brachys :)

Basically all Brachypelma's kick hair. Sometimes for defense, other times just cause you move the enclosure a little bit. Boehmeis seem to be very skittish and kick hairs alot. So perfectly normal. Your t looks healthy :D
Please explain what species you are referring to. The G. rosea or the G. porteri(sp?)
G. rosea is usually always brown through out its whole life. They do sometimes tend to have a little bit of pink on their carapace, but the rest is brown.
Now the red color form rosea (I think it's G...
So I haven't really been into tarantulas that much for a while like I used to about a year ago. First things first... To any of you who remember me as an annoying little kid, I am sorry. I am more mature now, and, well, not an annoying 12 year old any more.
2nd question. When did they make...
Yes. Make the room humid/or her cage. But this happens in the wild all the time, so she will figure it out by herself :) She wont die this way, because if her fangs are fine, and her legs are moving freely, she is fine. They really dont have much of a use for their carapace.
What are you tryin' to say? The Golden Knee isnt good enough for you? :p Hmmm, not to expensive, eh? Maybe a N. chromatus! Yeah! You could get a female for about $80 bucks. They are pretty skilled at hairkicking though!

Hmmm.. Well no T is really "active" unless its a MM. But if you want a nice looking T that moves around quite a bit, I'd say go for the G. pulchripes female. They are about 100$ for a 5" female, if you can actually find one though ;P
