Was it an online dealer? Or a Utah pet store, I know the ones here locally have websites and one in particular that takes <edit> care of there tarantulas.

My Versicolor ended up getting fat really fast and nothing has happened for about three months. She sealed up her tunnel and got really pissy(!pissy!) and nothing has happened except some small weight loss.:confused:

You're going to have to wait a while before it is able to be sexed. Judging by how slow they grow it is probably about a year old.

How large is it? If it is over an inch or two it is not 5 months old. Most tarantulas are sexable at the juvenile stage. About 3 inches.

It's probably a death curl. It could be very dehydrated or an Old MM. Look for hooks under the pedipalps, if there you have a MM.

I'm 11 and I really like T's. I spent my 2 hours every day, this past summer researching tarantulas. I'm familiar with most tarantulas. I'm okay with taking the risks of handling my H.mac and OBT. Ya T's. Ya attention span!!
