    Deadliest/most efficient tarantula?

Out of our experience, our E Murinus is the MEANEST we have. I've seen videos where some are fairly docile and slower/calmer. Ours will try to bite you without any hesitation. She's struck at Chris so many times.

Our Regalis is a little dumb

Dr Acula: I still havn't taken any new pics of it since it molted. I've been sick with allergies and not feeling up to doing anything lol. And Chris doesn't do pictures, that's my department. Maybe if I remember I'll take some today. synyster: That's what I thought, female from the bright...

    Arborreals and substrate

I'd say have a substrate anyways. Helps with humidity, looks nice and if they fall it's a softer landing than hitting glass. Not like it's expensive either, or that you have to change the terrarium every 3 days (like a rodent for example).

Our Regalis is a little dumb

Lol epic pokie fail indeed. Good thing too, we just came in from being in the barn (horses) doing chores. It was almost finished too, maybe 10 - 15 mins and it was done? Looks pretty, but the molt looks male, darn.

Our Regalis is a little dumb

The molt diagonal leg span is 3 and 3/4 inches, we just pulled it out. And yeah, kerplunk lol Lor

Our Regalis is a little dumb

It like slid down as far as the towel (not shown in pics, put in after I took them) and is laying there, still molting lol. So I'd say good thing we put it there. Epic FAIL to the regalis.

    Curiosity killed the cat

Lol not only obvious choice, basically the only option. We have a T room, no cats allowed.

Our Regalis is a little dumb

So it's molting on the side of the tank, almost near the top. We packed tea towels under it so when it falls, it doesn't have very far to go. Thought it was pretty retarted lol, but good thing we noticed it on time. Anyways, we should know the sex after this molt hopefully.

My girlfriend is out of her mind. In a good way.

Nice! I bought Chris our first T a couple years ago (G. rosea), then bought him an E murinus and now we have many =)

    Question about substrate.

LOL same thing happened to us! Saw a rosie in a pet store when we were not even looking to purchase one, we bought it and shortly after ended up with 16 Ts.

    Avicularia purpurea

Lol that'd be funny if I had the horses inside.. I live on 8 acres so we have lots of space, but still only so much space in our T room, which is now also my frog room!

    Avicularia purpurea

Yep. Probably be about 15-20 years on a few of them lol. I'm thinking the pokie males will go first, even though they're still only maybe 3 inches or so. I have 30 pets total, including horses, cats, frog, dog and the T's. Lor

    Avicularia purpurea

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Definetly a species to get into some day.. maybe once a few of ours die off since we have quite a few lol. Lor

    White Spot....pre-molt ?

My Grammostola pulchra has had a white spot since it's last molt. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

    Avicularia purpurea

I just recently came across photos of this species and wondered if anyone has or had one and what their experience was with them? Interested in their temperment, even though every T can have their own unique personality. Thanks! Lor

Sling hasn't molted since I got it..

Thanks for the replies! I just noticed our pokie slings grew pretty quick, I guess this one is a bit more like a rosie when it comes to growing maybe. Lor

Sling hasn't molted since I got it..

I got a brachypelma auratum sometime last summer, it is about 1/8 of an inch and it has never molted. Anyone have any idea why? Seems strange to me. Lor

    Designer Pokies?

I thought the same and was recently reading something on this, I thought I saved the article as a .pdf but I guess I didn't so i can't back this up with any source.

    Poecilotheria sp "scratching" abdomen

I actually just watched my P. metallica grooming yesterday evening and he then used his leg to clean his back, at least that is what it looked like he was doing.

I agree with male, yours looks exactly like mine and I'm 95% sure mine is a male. Chris.
