    Best way to remove silk?

There is a lot of silk all over everything. Pulling it off gets the bulk of it, but there's sort of a film that remains. Especially on glass.

    Best way to remove silk?

I have to clean out a tank that housed a very heavy webber - just wondering if anyone has any tips on getting the silk out quickly other than running tons of water on it. Thanks in advance!

    H lividum closing up shop

I've had some pet holes abandon their burrow and molt above ground. Usually after they start a new burrow or renovate the old one.

    Quantity vs Quality

Hey fartowski, want me to take a couple off your hands? ;) You won't even notice they're gone! ... well maybe you will lol

    Quantity vs Quality

Well that's just it... I'm only willing to commit so much space in my house to my collection. I haven't got room for a wall full of tanks. My collection is limited to what I can fit in and on top of a single TV wall unit.

    Spider Log

Looks sweet. There are a couple of applications for windows that already do this, but something web-based with a smartphone app is definitely the future! There are some good functions from thos programs that you might want to include (if you can figure out how) such as: - One button...

    Acanthoscurria geniculata info

I will probably rehouse to a 10gal at some point. She uses the entire 12" right now, and I expect she will get to about 7" or 8" and that's a bit big for an exoterra. From what I understand they can be very defensive, but I think with a larger enclosure that might change.

    Quantity vs Quality

I agree with the smaller collection mentality. I only have 9 myself, and I find they are highly manageable and varied enough to stay interesting. That said, I also agree with abraxascomplex. If there was a larger hobbyist community in ontario, and Ts were cheaper in Canada I would probably...

    Acanthoscurria geniculata info

Mine's very well established in its tank. It's about 6" right now and its in a 12x12x12 exoterra. I keep the humidity moderate to high by soaking the sub every 3 or 4 weeks and keeping a full water dish. I got it around 3.5" and it's molted twice. If I could, I would start even smaller because...

    Artificial lighting ?

I use 60w red lightbulbs from the hardware store, they get pretty warm. The only problem is that the closer they get to burning out, the more the red coating fades and they turn white. So it's REALLY red for the first month... but at $1 each it's not a big deal.

i think this is important to our hobby

I don't think it matters to the hobby at all personally. It's a minor convenience that I'd like but it doesn't affect my tarantula keeping in any way. ... and it's "Tapatalk"

I haven't sexed mine. It's just 1.5" or so... I think it'll be years before I have to worry about which sex it is so I just call it a he.

I'm sure this is how my p. muticus will die as well. He just goes down there with no food or water for months without any disturbance on the surface.

11c is the highest price I've ever seen per cricket, especially tiny ones. :(
