I was just wondering what contributed into making some of the venomous Aussie animals so potent compared to some from the rest of the world. Not particularly about spiders just all venomous in general.
Well according to wikipedia, which I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it states that "Funnel-web spider venom contains a compound known as atraxotoxin which is highly toxic to primates." But once again I am not sure how accurate that statement is.
So a few days ago I saw that we have some Aussie T's in the hobby now. Which brings me to think that they would be even more dangerous than say Pokies and some African species. Since Australia has some of the most deadly snakes on the planet like Notechis scutatus, Oxyuranus Microlepidotus, and...
Yeah she is fine now, I guess I was just worrying about nothing. Thanks everyone for their help. She climbed on top of her hide a few minutes after I posted the topic. haha.
Yes it is, Pamphobeteus "sp" platyomma. Since the real P. platyomma isn't in the hobby correct? Also thanks for the tips. I will get the humidity up right away.
Thank you thats good to know. I just want her to be alright. Also, this time around he seems red and kinda blue and grey. It's very strange, but she is very beautiful.
Alright I went to bed at around 4:00 am? When I went to sleep I saw my 5" female P. platyomma flipped. Well I awoke at 8:30 and decided to remove the molt and noticed it was acting really funny. When it moved it was somewhat sluggish, like not all its legs were working, and seemed like it was...
Yeah, a few nights ago, my girlfriend was talking about the movie Legion we just got done watching, and was talking about one of the actors how he was an Atheist and then played Archangel Michael. Well I was reading things on here so I just said "Thats crazy" Later on before we went to bed she...
Here she is!
Now 2"
I tried to sex ventrally but I'm not sure if I did it right, and she pretty much destroyed her molt. Anyways, just wanted to share. Now I have three more T's in pre-molt. Can't wait to see how they turn out.
People are to blame not the snakes. I think Flordia needs to actually enforce its laws on giant snakes. Especially burms, people buy something and do not know what they are getting into. I'm almost positive Florida has a law that states any Burmese that is bought is to be microchipped. But...
PVC pipes would be awesome, have you ever taken a blowtorch to some and burnt them to make them look like logs or something? I think...they have a tutorial of it on "cutegayjasons" youtube page. It's meant for green tree pythons but can be used for T's too I'm sure, just fit them in the cage or...
Ah, my mothers friends came yesterday and she wanted me to meet them. She brought them to my room and my mom was showing them my snakes and tarantulas. They instantly started to freak out, so they left and calmed down I went into the kitchen and explained to them very calmly about how amazing...
How is it different from your attitude calling him that and someone else little boys? I'm not trying to start anything, truth is I'm just saying you do not have to be so hostile.
I just post videos of all my animals. So if you want to check it out.

Not very informative though.
Jon3800's is really great too. Probably my favorite for information.
