    G. pulchra (specifically mine)

I watched your video on substrate, and thanks. I wasn't overthinking much... just curious about other folks' G. pulchras. Never experienced one other than mine.

    Green bottle blue ?

I'll reiterate the points that they are pretty, easy to care for, feed aggressively and like to kick hair. That would describe my experience with one.

    G. pulchra (specifically mine)

I decided not to raise any old topics and just kind of try to combine my questions and curiosity (for the time being) into one thread for now. Foremost objective is that I'm going to rehouse mine. I know what to do... or what to do to get by with anyway, but I was curious about a few aspects...

You need Kingdom of the Spiders w/ William Shatner.

Going to WV...what to look for?

That's what I found from a quick google. I was hoping for some more definitive information on the subject :( Guess I'll have to keep looking.

Going to WV...what to look for?

Oh, I believe you. I just wanted to know the actual region in WV so I could possibly go looking. From what I recall (like I said, this was 4-5 years ago) they were in KY, and he said they had to be in WV, just hadn't been documented yet.

Would it be okay to let my jumper go?

Yeah... if you captured it where you live, then it's going to be quite fine in that environment... set it free. Then again, if you want to keep and feed the little bugger, you can do that too.

Going to WV...what to look for?

Cool, if this is true. I actually did some work with an Arachnologist and he always theorized that they could be this far east... but this was a few years ago and one had not been found and positively IDed at that point. What's the source, I'd be interested to read up on it... maybe go scorp...

    Which would you pick?

My GBB is very, very nervous and will run about the cage sometimes when I just walk in the room. That being said, it's just very defensive and I don't think it should be a problem with a first-timer... just leave it be like it wants. I love Avics... very pretty and usually active...

Going to WV...what to look for?

No scorps in WV. My favorite local spider (I'm from WV) is Argiope aurantia. I doubt they're out and about yet. As a matter of fact, I'd say it's too cold for you to see much of anything cool invert-wise. Enjoy the scenery though, best thing about the state.

    Feeding live mice?

    Best post in the thread

    New N. chromatus

Mine is terribly not friendly either.

What are the must have Ts?

I'm going to disagree with this too. I adore mine.

    Nhandu Chromatus Habits? Care?

Clever observation, Sherlock. My N chromatus is meaner than a rattlesnake and twice as fast. It rarely, if ever burrows and has quite the appetite.

    "Chilean Red Leg"

The first pic on google image was a B emilia. If this is what you were talking about, you've been grossly misinformed about how dangerous it is.

    Active T Suggestions

The suggestion I'm going to give is a C cyaneopubescens (greenbottle blue). It's terrestrial, it's very pretty/colorful (display) and it doesn't spend much time in it's hide (display). I'm also a fan of all the webbing it does. My G pulchra does nothing but move dirt from one side of the cage...

New guy looking for a T

^^ Yep Bigger. Not as mean. Not as pretty. Somebody mentioned they come out a lot, which is a good thing if you don't want something that hides all the time. Never had an OBT (will get someday) and I've only got a LP sling.

    Widow Keepers

I kept an L. mactans and really enjoyed having her around. She was gravid when she was given to me and laid multiple eggsacs. Only if I knew anybody wanted/needed one.

    Argiope Mating

    Nice pics, indeed.

A couple of finds in the WMWR in Oklahoma

Looks like the A. aurantia I had after she laid her eggs. Don't trust me though... I'm far from really knowing what I'm talking about.
