To limit the amount of cannibalism, Its best to put each scorp into its own deli cup.

    Androctonus Mauretanicus

I recently got an A. mauritanicus from Botar also, and this guy is wicked. I have to restrain myself from feeding him too much, because he will eat every time I put food in the tank. And as far as them being fast, Mine actually teleported across the tank yesterday while I was watching him...

    feeding question

I personally only use crickets, but from what Ive read about using mealworms... You put them in something like a mayonaise lid where they cant get over the sides. Or, you could try holding them with forceps and waving them in front of your scorps until they take em. Again, this is second hand...

    just got some scorplings

Is the heat mat inside your tank? If so, and I may make a suggestion... Be very careful with that. the scorp will be up and out before you know what happened. Best to put the mat on the outside of the tank on one of the sides. Mike

    Babies

Yep, Im a grand-scorp-daddy! Hadnt done a head count in a while, so I went plundering thru my tank and found my missing 6th hiding under the dome with babies! Started with 6 C. exilicauda, and Id guess I have around 15 now :D So my question is this. Should I take the mom out and put her...

    Pure awesomeness!

So Im sitting around today, and I walk past my communal tank ( its a 20L with 6 C. exilicauda in it) and I notice theres a lot more activity than usual going on. Its daytime, and 4 of the 6 are out and moving around. I notice one of them is looking kind of sickly, and pale, so naturally I got a...

    A housing question

Thats what I was concerned with using the 12x12x12. Im thinking Ill just get another 20L and split it into 2 or 3 sections. Now I just need to think of something else to put in the other sections  Thanks John!

    A housing question

So, Ive been thinking long and hard about the next scorp I want to get, and Ive decided Its gonna be an H. arizonesis. My question is, how large of an enclosure would one of these beasts need? I was thinking about getting a few of the 12"x12"x12" display cases from a craft shop. Would that be...

    Beginner Scorp

I think that depends on the scorpion and on the T. I personally feel that I have 6 invisible scorps... the only way I know they are still alive is because the crickets keep disappearing. Mike

    Beginner Scorp

Its really not suggested for a beginner, but my first scorps were C. Exilicauda (Arizona Barks). They are very hot, but are communal (I currently have 6 in a 20L) and are relatively easy to take care of as far as temperature/humidity. Mike
