    I think my emps dying...

Just an update. He's been in the same spot 3 days since I wrote this. Non moving. I prodded him and he never moved once. I'm 99.9 % sure he's dead. I will remove him and bury him when I see proof of death (decay)... He was always a cute little guy...defensive and feisty.....Shame... :(

    I think my emps dying...

He's on eco earth that I have dampened. Temp is probably 70-80. Sitting in same spot since I last posted. Barely responds, can't raise himself up.

    I think my emps dying...

It's been a week since he first started acting sluggish. I think he tried to molt but got stuck in it. Nothing has been shed. He's not an adult but he's barely responsive. Tail almost flat. :(

    Cobalt Blue

Well, my first T was a Haplopelma sp. I rehoused it a couple times without being bit. It's possible for a newbie to own one without having problems, but a lot of times it can be too much to handle. It's not really worth the intimidation because you won't even see it much, only on rare...

    Avicularia avicularia walking funny?

Yeah, doesn't look normal. Why was it spazing out at around 11 seconds? I don't know much about DKS but I'm willing to guess poking at it doesn't help.

    G. Rosea...

I doubt she'll be handling anymore Ts now that she has seen her own ignorance. Shame it takes the death of something for people to get it through their thick skulls. Sorry if I sound rude but this annoys me.

    chilli flame

Could be that or a Euathlus sp. Edit: Why don't you type G. Rosea RCF or Euathlus on google images and give us a picture of what it looks like.

    Breeding death

Yes, I've heard several reports where the male has killed the female. I'm glad that isn't what happened in this case. :)

Everything you need to know is on this site. There's been a zillion topics about eating. They only need a cricket or two once a week...

What does your vagans do ?

When provided with proper substrate and log for cover it shall usually hide or burrow. Atleast mine is hiding. Check back at night with a red light if you wanna view your more reclusive tarantulas or "petholes". I don't think it's as bad of a pethole as a haplopelma.
