Adult male blues get a blueish color to them. My male giant didnt hibernate and he has been sexually mature for a few months, but I dont consider them adults until they are 2-3 years old.

Blues are the smallest, but they still get over 4ft commonly and are going to require at least a 6x3x3 enclosure as adults. They really are great animals though if you have the space.
Thanks, I think they are the best too, as tameable as water monitors just a different bodystyle and I think they look even better once they get old and fat lol.

If you want something you can't hold you could always get a P. Cancerides :razz:
They are really cheap and grow really fast in my experience. Lets just say they have a bit of an attitude though, but so does a P. murinus
