Thanks, I missed those. The one from the underside does show she has lost a lot of weight. Is she dehydrated? What is her response when you put in fresh water?
I agree that it's lost some weight. As far as the death curl, I wouldn't go that far based on one pic? If that's the way it sits all the time, then yes it has some issues.
I've kept pulchra forever, other than the heating pad your set-up is fine. I keep mine dry, and overfill the water dish twice a week. Don't sweat the not eating, it happens. One of my adult females (I've had her for 15+ years) just finished a six month fast. Yours looks good and healthy.
If the ants had time to eat an entire pede, I'm going to go out on a limb and say your husbandry needs improvement. How often are you checking on them???
It should harden by itself, and after the next molt it will back to normal. However I'm very curious as to how it happened, I've never experienced that myself.
I think @coldblood only uses dirt like that, it shouldn't be causing tumors. Are you sure that is the cause?
I prefer cocoa fiber myself, if you get it by the brick it is very cheap.
First off, not eating in the first week of being moved isn't abnormal. G. rosea aren't big eaters in the first place, so not eating for weeks at a time isn't a big deal. Based on the picture, it looks like it's going to molt sometime in the future so I wouldn't expect it to eat until that happens.
