I have a question about Cricket diet.

I was wondering if anybody could tell me of a good diet for feeding crickets before feeding them to my animals. I've seen a lot about "gut-loading" your crickets, so does anybody know of a good recipe or a good brand to buy?

I just found an egg sac, need help.

First I'd have to get the thing away from her. She carries the thing around with her, and she is supremely protective of it. Guess that's why they call them Nursery Web spiders.

    black widow vs brown recluse

The bit about the enzyme in the venom i got from the Discovery Health Channel so you can take that with a grain of salt. The rest of my info I got from this site, http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/2061.html which has a great deal of useful info.

    black widow vs brown recluse

Those huge disgusting sores and wounds caused by a bite from a Brown Recluse is really a lot more rare than most people think. Usually, the bites while painful, do not cause those gaping wounds we hear about so much. There is an enzyme in recluse venom that a small number of people are...

    Mosquito repellent

Dry Ice, won't workas a repellant. As the ice sublimes it turns into Carbon dioxide gas which actually acts as an attractant for the mosquitos. Dry ice is actually used as bait in some types of mosquito traps rather than having a tank of CO2. What you could do is put a block of Dry ice...

    Spider ID

Today, I spotted a type of spider i have never seen before, not even in pictures. It was small, leg span less 1/2in, most of it's body was a very pale green, though it had 6 dark spots on it's abdomen in two columns. It's head was the real interesting part though, the top of the head was red...

    Bees

Hmm, I don't know a whole lot about bees so I have two questions. Are the drones the big fat ones that are mostly black, commonly called bumblebees? Because that seems like it would make a pretty good meal, and they're easy to catch. If they don't have stingers that makes it even easier. My...

New person here who'd like a little help

Hi, I'm brand new to both the boards and the hobby. I recently found myself the caretaker of a Dolomedes tenebrosus. I've been looking around the Boards and I've found them to be both informative and interesting as well as entertaining. However, I would like to find out more about this spider...
