She looks very nice  My rosea also for whatever reason loves the log hide. Well good luck with the handling, hope all goes well for the 2 of you. take care.
Looks nice :o . Nice work with the expanding foam like you had mentioned. The only thing I would do is make sure the substrate is slightly moist (like you said). Other than that looks like she will have a nice home. Oh any I will get you those pics tomorrow (friday) evening. Thanks and take...
I agree with spore, let her be for now. Once she's recovered get rid of the bark, however if it has spread then you might consider other options. There was just a very good thread about the use of isopods (pillbugs) for mold issues as tank maintenance. Hope this helps some. take care :o...
That is great!! {D Like was mentioned might go for a wider dish. I have seen a few of mine get in some odd positions to drink. But that one definately is the best I've seen
If the substrate is still moist they tend to stay off of it. But I have also noticed that even if it is not they will still avoid the substrate for a bit. I've noticed that while they get used to it they will tap on it and touch it. My last one that i noticed doing this was L. parahybana...
As was just mentioned the price sounds fair. Your setup sounds good but as was mentioned the humidity for the G. rosea needs to be less. Also you had mentioned putting plexi over the Avics tank. That would work but make sure you have sufficient ventilation holes or you will end up with mold...
First off have to say greetings to a fellow Indiana native. I am from the fort wayne area. As far as the T question goes has there been any recent temperature changes in your house or room wherever you keep them? Also how often were you feeding them prior to this happening. You mentioned that...
I would have to say if you want the full adventure go with the Haplo ( I think I've seen H. minax called the "asian bird eater" but who knows with common names) back to the point. My obt is extremely quick but much less to handle then my H. lividium. She definately makes life interesting at...
Not sure what you have been feeding the T but you might consider switching up the menu for her. I have had much success feeding mine roaches (of course) but also found they like wax worms. Having that said I have also seen information about G. Rosea going a year or more without eating. So i...
In my experience I would definately say I prefer having the roaches (even though I hate handing them). At the peak of the T keeping (scaled back now) I had a colony of 2000+ roaches and must say it was very nice being able to go to the "grocery store" for the T's. No matter if I was feeding a...
I have done a 75 gal split into 3 which worked extremely well. I use acrylic for the seperator. If you do some searching online you can get various colors of the acrylic. However like it was mentioned make sure that they are secure and there is now gaps. It's actually quite a fun project if...
