I urge you to be cautious about how quickly you jump in. It's easy to build a collection, a lot harder to maintain it. Just over 2 years ago I had to get out of the hobby because I was overwhelmed and became a bit jaded by how much work maintaining a collection could be (I had well over 100).

There is a bit of a catch that comes along with this question. A spider without ideal conditions will move more (i.e. G.rosea with too damp of substrate). I would probably rephrase the question as "which spiders are most visible" as I'm not sure I would want my T to be pacing around.

It looks like you have a light on her. I'm guessing that she's going up that high because it's warm. you might evaluate your method of heating. If it's cold in your room then you should consider slapping a heat mat on the side of the enclosure.

I certainly wouldn't start a dubia colony for 1 B.smithi, more hassle than it's worth. Regardless, they are a FAR superior food item. My small brachys love little nymphs though. Now if the OP had one of each brachy (wink wink) that would merit a colony.
