    A few cockroaches

This is the arachnoboards. If you own a T or are thinking about it, please understand this. Any of those roaches would make an awesome meal for your spider. Compared to crickets, they are a steak dinner. And, you can cut your T feeding bill in half. Then use that money to buy more spiders{D...

Fly larvae infestation in my roach colony

Strange, I am having the same problem. Adults just dropping off. And this is only occuring with my discoids. I keep 13 kinds of roaches in the very same room. I can't find maggots in there, but the bin seems to always be full of fruit flies. I've recently completely removed the lid of the bin...

Thinking about giving handling a try with my L.parahybana, but she's MEAN. Any tips?

I make the trained dog vs. tarantula analogy with people all the time. You're actually the one being trained in tarantula handling. Also, consider fast aggresive Ts like tropical fish. You'll never hear anyone wanting to pet thier fish. And, most fish don't bite. Last but not least. If you...

    where to buy beetles?

I checked which ironclads are in the austin area because I'd be into collecting some myself. They are Zopherus nodulosus haldemani. They can be found on pecan and oak trees. Apparently it's a little late in the year for them.

    3 crickets at once?

At one point I had a B smithi that I would feed 2 crickets to because she would pin down one with her leg while she ate the other one

Strange? Ants will only go in my P. regalis enclosure..

I don't think they are in the walls. I think that enclosure is the closest to thier "point of entry". I agree with whoever said get glue traps, but dont tell my roaches!! I also want to point out that it is a pretty fearless ant that would go and steal a pokie's dirt.

First find in a long time

always cool to see one in the wild. I'm going to show that pic to my fat spoiled spiders, and maybe they'll learn the value of a cricket.:)

    b. fumigata vs b. dubia

I have to be carefull with oranges because I find they mold quickly. I have noticed some dubia smell worse than others. When you get some that do smell, you'll know what everyone is talking about for sure.

    b lateralis questions?

I wouldn't say they multiply quicky. They lay eggs, and it does take some time for the eggs to hatch. The newborns are tiny. A 20 gallon tub should be all you need. I don't use substrate, just plenty of egg crates. Lateralis are SERIOUS climbers. I've even seen an "escapee" climbling across my...

Over 26,000 Animals Seized In Cruelty Raid In Texas, including Tarantulas.

All I can think is OMG, I almost bought some frogs from those guys!!! Fortunatly, I ask questions. Some of these question I may already know the answer to. Yeah it's sneaky, but so is selling me a busted up animal. Another great thing is these forums. The feedback keeps everyone honest. I think...

Giant African Land Snail (A. fulica)

One of the reasons they're illegal here is they are asexual. So let's say you're cleaning out the cage, and throw a couple of tiny eggs away. You could be in for a real "Homer Simpson" moment then. Besides that, even if you did order them from oversea, who wants to get caught? The person...
