    P. Cancerides growth rate

I have a female P. Cancerides that is about 5+". The last time she molted was August of last year. I think she may finally be entering pre-molt. Does anyone know what the typical growth rate is on this species? I had always heard they were fairy quick growers, but my female is definitely...

    my T's

I don't think the P. Cancerides are very growers when compared to L. Parahybana and A. Genic. I have a female that is over 5" and it has been nearly 10 months since she last molted. I think she is finally entering pre-molt now however.

How long to re-grow damaged fang?

Thanks for the replies. That makes me feel a little better. Occasionally, I do catch her "chewing" on the lid of her cage and it is also the wire mesh. Maybe that is what caused it. Thankfully, she is due for another molt in the next two months and she is already fat so I shouldn't need to...

How long to re-grow damaged fang?

My female L. Parahybana was moving some substrate out of her burrow this afternoon and I noticed that she has somehow broken the tip off of one of her fangs. She is currently between 6.5" and 7". How long, or how many molts, will it take before the fang is like new again? Thanks.

    Legspan for P. Cancerides

I currently have a female P. Cancerides with a legspan of about 5.5". Does anyone happen to know what the maximum legspan of a P. Cancerides can be? I know these can grow into a fairly large T. According to Botar's website, they can reach 9". I would appreciate anyone's feedback on this.

    Should I get a L. parahybana or a T. blondi?

Being that I have never owned a T. Blondi, I'm not going to say if they are better or not. I'm sure you have already heard this over and over, but I can tell you that the L. Parahybana is a great choice from my experience. I'm sorry, but you have a tough decision to make when concerning size...

Best overall substrate for B. Smithi?

It is definitely a female because I have already seem the spermathacae and I have tried breeding here with a male. The substrate is completely dry and is about 3 inches deep or so. She has access to a cork bark hide, and water dish. I have offered plenty of food. It is kind of strange, as I...

Best overall substrate for B. Smithi?

I have a fairly simple question. What would be the best overall substrate for an adult female B. Smithi? I have had this female for several months now and she still doesn't seem happy with the dry peat and coconut fiber mix I have been using. She is still trying to get out nearly every day...

LOL. My big female has a huge ass also. Her appetite is endless.

    rose hair

No worries. Mine does the same thing after I clean out her tank and replace the substrate. Like Cirith Ungol said, it is probably a little too moist right now. I recently cleaned out my rosie's tank and put fresh moist substrate in there. After a few days of drying, she was back to her...
