A gift from the NYR Tokays.....

I had made a post awhile back about our NYR tokays blessing us with a couple of tokay eggs and then deciding one night it would be fun to eat them....grrrr at them...but anyways. I was cleaning out there tanks this past tuesday and playing tag with them because they so love to chase my hands and...

    Should I get a P.Irmina?

P.irminia has to be one of my fav T's. Yes I will agree...they are fast and at times can be a little nerve racking...not a T I would handle at all but absolutely beautiful. Even as slings they are the cutest things.

    owning a rattlesnake

I have to agree...I own quite a few different reptiles and arachnids..."hots" is still something I would avoid even with the few years experience I have with my other stuff.

    I think I've finally lost it.....lol

Well Wolfy and I were out yesterday and I thought to myself...I need another pet! For a few years now I've owned and did some breeding with arachnids...then I got into the reptile part of life. ( snakes are addicting too ) So here I was wandering through his work and there it was..Ceratophrys...

    Still in shock!!

Ya I was not too impressed by this finding at all. I did have a deli cup taped over the eggs and they were able to rip it open and get to the eggs. I'm hoping next time with all the cork bark I have in there with them they decide to do what the green eyes did and put there eggs on the bark. That...

    L.parahybana broken leg

All depends on the size of your T to how long it will take to regenerate it's leg back to normal size. If your T is moving around fine I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes they will remove the leg themself if it is bothering them.

    quik questio on obts

I myself wouldn't think it would be a problem. I have critter keepers stacked and beside eachother of different sp of T and that doesn't seem to bother them.

Hey everyone, im new so of course i have a few noob questions.

Congrats on your first T and welcome to the boards. It usually takes a T awhile before they get comfy with their new "home" so to speak so don't worry about her not using her new burrow that you made for her. My G.rosea's never burrowed...and by the sounds of it..yes she is grooming herself...

    Tank Q

Depends on what type of T you have. When they reach the 2" mark that's when I usually move them up to the appropriate size of housing.

    Pokie Question

I've raised two of these beautiful T's...when they are in pre-molt they do not eat...they hide and then they come out all purdy....so if your's has a bigger ab then normal and is not "pouncing" on it's dinner as usual...leave it be. I just find that they are not their normal busy selves when...

    Leopard gecko not eating

Yes...I kept mine in at all times...it was part of their home. Check it every couple of days and make sure it's moist.

    Leopard gecko not eating

We had humidity boxes in with our leopard geckos. Good of you to mention that x-topher. Besides a water dish these are a must I feel with these guys. With our young ones, we didn't feed them in thier home...they were removed and put in a small kk so that they didn't have to search and find thier...

    Opinions needed....

I agree with you there...my little one which is approx. 1 1/2"s is an eating machine. I watched her (hoping her) put two crix in her mouth a couple weeks ago. A half inch crick and a large. The large was dropped in my accident and I had no time to get it out...she nabbed it quickly. The one...

    Tank Q

When my T's are that size they stay in viles. Then eventually when they get bigger they go into deli cups that you can get at various sizes. I don't put them in tanks/critter keepers until they are larger. It's very hard on slings to have too much space. They need enough to move around a little...
