Great communication during whole process of sale. Everything arrived very healthy. No complaints and would not hesitate to buy from again.

    Gnats In Scorpion Tank

You have live plants inside your emp cage? I had the exact same problem along with some red mites. I say just get rid of the live plants all together. After I removed the plants and hung some fly tape inside the cage within a week or two the mites and the gnats were history.

    ID check

Not sure if I would buy from that seller again. Two wounded scorpions and the first 3 pics look to be an emp. Red claws lack that granulation in the claws that emps have. Although they should live a healthy life with a missing limb but yea don't expect it to grow back. Personally I have kept...

    Mold problem??

Yea the pillbugs work great too. They help clean up what you dont always see. I have had them breeding in with my emps for over a year. They have acctually kept my emp tank very nice and clean. Combine them with the peat and you really have nothing to ever worry about if you have decent...

    Mold problem??

Mold is not really a problem if you use a peat mix for your setup. Its acidic and really stops mold from growing anywhere, no harm to the scorps either. Making sure to pick up uneaten food and left over parts help too.

personal observations when feeding 2nd instar C Vitts.

I had similar results with my brood of C. Vittatus. No matter what I could not get them to eat cut up crickets. I was getting a bit worried so I grabbed a vial and collected some pinheads from my emp enclosure. They went wild and were eating more than I could supply. The brood never made...

    Dune Scorpion (Smeringus mesaensis)

I definately wouldnt handle these guys. They are insanely fast and very defensive/aggressive. The day I got mine I dropped him in his new home and he did about 5 laps around the tank faster than any scorp I have owned while in the striking position. He didnt seem too happy.

    Interspecific communal terrarium

I once housed 6 red claw scorps and 1 emp together for quite some time. Never had any problems with them. One of my local pet stores used to keep them together too with no trouble.

    Black-Buldge on Lower end....

If you can provide a pic that would be good. It kind of sounds like intestinal blockage which will probably be fatal to the scorp.

    Aggressive display scorpion

H.A. is not totally communal. I would consider it more of luck if you housed them together with one not killing the other. Most of the time one is killed.

    C. Exilicauda popped. Need advice fast.

She dropped about a dozen of the little guys. Maybe a little more. A few looked to be trampled on but I think I got about a dozen alive in a delicup. She still has about a dozen on her back too. Hopefully they will do alright. I will keep them warm with some humidity. I have about 5 other...

    C. Exilicauda popped. Need advice fast.

Scorp popped a few hours ago in my communal tank. She left about 10 babies on the ground and ran off somewhere. I guess all I can do is take these little guys out and hope they make it. Whats the success rate of keeping them so young?

    new scorp, enclosure, substrate...

If that is in fact a young H.A. then he probably wont make it to an adult. Its very hard to have successful molts from them in captivity. Good luck.

    *too hot? Too cold?*

I dont think it will be a problem as long as you provide heating for them via heatlamps or heating pads. I dont think they would fair too well at 65F with no heating.

    Can scorps. eat/digest small bones?

I fed one of my scorps an anole along time ago. I was even able to watch him eat the bones and all. I figure since and anole has very small and fragile bones its not a problem for large scorps to eat them. I dont know what it is about anoles and other larger prey but emps seem to love them...

    H.A help.

Im sure hes down in there. How big is he? I had about a 3 inch Smerigerus Mesaensis that burrowed in the middle of the tank. He didnt try burrowing up against anything either. Just out in the middle and after about 20 minutes of looking I could barely make out where he went. I dont know how...

    Hadrurus advice needed...

I would say the chances are pretty low that it will survive and make it to adult hood. If you have the money to waste and understand that there is a good chance its not going to make it then go for it. It sounds hard to get the conditions right for these guys to molt. Good luck.

    The face off

Im glad all is well. You probably scared them so they were running from you. If you were not around things may have been worse. But I guess that was better than him escaping.
