When I was there, all the animals were cared for. It was the inner political bull poop. People from there stopped talking to me after I got a job at a zoo. I miss a bunch of the cats which have probably all passed by now (old age).

Looks like a red shouldered hawk. Not 100% though because they strongly resemble red tailed hawks.

Speaking of crickets, I have seen Dermestid larvae in cricket boxes before. YOu can always ask to comb the cricket bin at your local pet store.

The females do have stingers, but are hesitant to sting. And why would you risk feeding your pet a wild feeder that could have been exposed to god knows what in the wild. Stick to crickets or roaches...
