Yes, its making a tube web. i dont think its set foot on the ground since being introduced into its home. It spends all its time on the webbing at the top of the jar. If its not re-attatching its the web to the lid, she doesnt move at all from what i can tell. I trouch her legs if they're on...

If adult chacos dont need misted, is it neccissary for the slings? i ask because i got 4 slings in the end of last week and i havnt misted so far and they seem okay.. mostly eating and already a molt.. So anyways - do the slings prefer more moisture or what?

Sounds fine to me. You know what? these things do just fine in the wild, without anyone sanitizing their substrate. So as long as there's no chemicals in it, i dont see any problem:)

Ahh, but they're being sold on this very site for $21-30 for slings - and thats only the first 3 results.. I'm sure i could hunt one down for less.. :P The T for $150, though it was all scrunched up, covering its eyes, couldnt have been any bigger than 3" legspan Edit - and i doubt its...

Just curious, without us helpfull humans - who opens the sac in the wild and has anyone ever reported how long it takes??

Just ooooone more, for all you other night owls :) What kind of T(s) are sold under the common name "Blue leg tarantula"? The one in question is completely black, but with a midnight blue sheen on the legs.
