Maybe besides a substrate change you could change location? Maybe it's picking up noises or vibrations that weren't there before? How about temperatures?
I wish they could tell us what's wrong :(
Congrats on getting your new rosie. When I got my first rosie she was pretty starved and you could tell by the shrunken size of her abdomen. I fed her one cricket and she immediately ate it, she also drank a lot of water. I gave her one cricket everyday for the next 4 days until her abdomen...
My new Ethmostigmus trigonopodus*"blue leg".
I brought him home last night and it seemed pretty relaxed. I fed it a cricket and he readily pounced on it and ate it.
I am getting his new tank ready so I can re house him.
Hi guys,
I just adopted 4 hisser roaches from a friend who couldn't keep them anymore. I can tell that they are 3 males due to the horns and possibly a female or young male since no horns.
One of the roaches looked weird to me and I noticed that the back 2 legs seem to be broken since he...

But due to your responses I won't use them for my slings, only for my mantis.
You all rock :)
I have about 100 tarantulas, and about 20 scorpions.
I don't have more because I don't want to neglect them, but I just love these little buygs so much :)
Yes that's what I was planning on doing when they get a big bigger.
The aluminum mesh I have has spaces big enough for my praying mantis to get out through.
They are like 1/2 inch tall at this moment.
Thanks for the reply :)
Hi guys,
I have some round deli containers to keep my Avicularias, and I am looking for the lids that have holes and a screen.
I went to Smart and Final, and Costco and they didn't have them.
They only have the regular solid lids.
One of the reason I like the screened lids is that I...
As long as she's not in a dead curl, she's probably just very content where she is.
When I want to check on my Ts that are not moving I usually drip a bit of water on them, and they usually move a bit like considering if the "rain" is stopping soon so they can stay where they are.
Awww, I was hoping he would live longer since he is terrestrial.
Thanks girl, by the way no change with our girl yet. She now quite content in a warmer area, increased humidity and eating quite we'll. I will stay positive for the next few months :)
As it happens sometimes I came home today to find some of my burrowers out. It is a rare occurrance and I am often surprised to see they have grown so much since the last time I saw them.
Today I came home to this:
I last saw him about a month ago before this molt, and I have never...
Thanks guys! :D
I really appreciate your advice on this awesome experience :)
Here is a picture I took of them last night.
The momma is spending more time outside the burrow, and she seemed to be on the hunt, so I threw in a few prekilled crickets near her.
She right away stuff them in...
UPDATE:
I checked on the babies last night and they seems to have molted.
I see discarded white pieces of molt everywhere, messy kids :)
I also noticed tha almost all of them, except for three of them, are off the mom's back.
They are al huddled up in one corner of the Kritter Keeper...
