    Phrynus maesi specific care?

Good question. I've only been keeping the species for ~8 years, so that's my experience. I presume they can easily live over 10 years.

    Phrynus maesi specific care?

There is no difference in care between Phrynus whitei and P. maesi. They come from similar habitats and similar geographical locations.

    Amblypygid ID Help

This guy got it right. @boxofspiders you have a Phrynus here. Which species is anyone's guess... It will be easier to determine when it becomes an adult (still immature).

    P. Whiteii sexing - also what sex is bigger in phrynus and daemons?

A female here! As for the other question - males are usually bigger but females are heavier.

    Id to amblypygi

That's a good general way to differentiate diadema from medius, but as you can see it works better with larger and more mature specimens. A young D. medius will have 3 stripes on the legs. Now, there's another species that is still uncommon but slowly making its way into the hobby - Damon...

    Id to amblypygi

Correct, this is Damon medius. D. medius has pretty much replaced the popular and once more common Damon diadema in the pet hobby, although some hardcore enthusiasts still keep the latter species. True D. variegatus is extremely rare in the hobby and I will even argue that is close to...

Does anyone have an accurate photo of what D. variegatus actually looks like?

    Correct, that's a P. whitei. I also second everything that @Sarkhan42 said

    My new centurion roaches!

Awesome pics, but a small (yet important!) correction: those are Gyna lurida nymphs. Gyna centurio nymphs are plain chocolate brown with six yellow spots on the thorax.

    Damon IDs?

They do look like D. medius to me... :pompous: Make sure they have some vertical surface to climb on.

It will be 100% fine, they know what they are doing. Do not disturb it.

    Amblypygid Babies Questions

Congrats! This is a really fun and easy species to work with. Here are my answers to your questions: Usually 3rd instar, and after they had a few meals to fill up. Between 10 days to 2 weeks in my experience. Small and soft bodies prey: fruit flies, silverfish, baby crickets, very small...

    How to prevent eresus matriphagy?

Specifically for Eresus??? I'm afraid you've heard incorrectly. Even if you separate the mother and slings she will still die shortly after, as @Tbone192 explained.

    How to prevent eresus matriphagy?

There is no way to prevent it. The mothers are programmed to die after the babies hatch, and on the other end the babies need this meal in order to survive. You can't go against nature in this case.

    Amblypygi (Paraphrynus cubensis)

With Paraphrynus, I wouldn't keep communally. Unless we are talking about newly hatched siblings for the first week or two of their life.

    Tailless Whip Scorpion ID

Absolutely NOT communal. These guys are very territorial and will kill each other unless they are facing a possible mate. Adults usually end up on the larger side, but it really depends on your rearing conditions.

That is a young Charon grayi!

    Tailless Whip Scorpion Species ID

That is a Phrynus whitei. For sexing you'll probably need a molt. Nice healthy animal you've got there!
