I'm going to have to say that's an irminia, this is whay my P. cambridgei looked at 2"
I can see how the olive carapace can throw you off, but I got a female irminia of a slightly larger size than yours is now, and it's carapace was olive around part of it, it could just be a color they...
I'm really into both my Ts and reptiles at this point, I'd start swaying one way or the other, than someone would do something to balance the scale out again. lol.
My MBK and my texas rat snake rattle their tales quite a bit when disturbed, but this girl has always been a doll, I think she's...
I just wanted to share this...
When I first got my california king snake female "Claymore" I realized she had a large lump on her size. Under the advice of my mom (who's a Vet. Tech. who specializes in Reptiles) it likely wasn't anything to bad if she still eats, acts, and sheds fine. She did...
I'd say so. When I rehoused my male P. chordatus I threw in a chunk of his old webbing and for the first hour he clung to it as if it could save him from the unfamiliar and large enclosure.
So I went to check on everyone today and noticed my A.versicolor sling molted! What was excitement quick turned downhill when I noticed one of his legs was stuck in the molt. This little guy is probably less than an inch. What could I possibly do about this? I'd be afraid to try and remove the...
As everyone has pretty much said, yes, they can be fast, but I don't know how much you'd really have to worry about it. They're much more likely to hide than to charge you, and the only time they'd likely ever speed off or at you is if you're poking around their hiding spot.
I'd say this...
Tarantula's spinning webs from their feet?
So, I'm a fan of Science Now on Facebook and this particular article was posted today:

I might give it a try, though to be honest, though I talked about building my own viv, I'm not very crafty, and would probably screw up. I think I'd get especially lost on trying to heat it! :o
They're all colubrids, I intend to add some pythons and boas in to my collection in the future, but right now I only have colubrids, and they're mostly what I'm sticking too. There arn't very many pythons and boas that interest me.
Because my collection is small right now I almost want to lean towards nicer display enclosures, but in my gut I know my collection is only going to get bigger so I'm really starting to look at rack systems. So far I really like the Rhino raxx, are there any other places selling rack systems...
Well the thing is with the design I was working on all but the door of the enclosure was going to be wood, which is why I was wondering how I might be able to hear it.
I hadn't thought of building my own racks but I have considered building my own stackable viviariums out of a nice sturdy bookshelf I found for sale locally. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out is how I would heat it.
what exactly is flexwatt and heating cables? and how exactly does a thermestat work? I've never needed to use one and I'm really only familiar with heating via pet store heat mats.
I realize how much of a newbie I must seem...I guess I kind of am when it comes to all the complex stuff...
Hey everyone!
Over the last couple of months I've acquired a small collection of snakes, as of right now I have them all in appropriately sized glass aquariums, which are working well enough but aren't exactly efficient space wise.
I won't lie, I'm awful at finding good information...
