I bought a B. smithi, and it was a great experience across the board. The T arrived healthy and alert, and its last exuvia was even included as proof that it's a sexed female. I would gladly buy again, I give my highest recommendation.

    Disabled T (bad molt)

It's definitely a hard loss for me, but I'm not going anywhere anytime soon haha. First time I've had to rescue a T from its molt....I was at least hoping the legs I didn't have to cut free would have been useable. Even if someone considers the word "suffering" to be too anthropomorphizing, you...

    GBB Housing Question

I used to have one and he didn't even attempt to burrow, just wove a blanket over everything. I'd say the sub should definitely be shallower than a burrowing species.

Differences between Phormingochilus everetti & Omothymus schioedtei???

    P. everetti is a lot newer to the hobby, they only became available in the US a few short years ago. There are differences in the coloration with P. everetti being paler with hints of orange and purple, and O. schioedtei gets a bit maybe an inch or so larger. And of course there are other...

    Disabled T (bad molt)

Every single one of her legs is mangled, even the rear ones that I didn't need to free. Her colors also changed drastically, which is odd.

    Disabled T (bad molt)

I caught my P. everetti molting yesterday, and her pose seemed off where her abdomen and hind legs were free but her front legs and pedipalps were still inside. Later that night, this hadn't changed and I was forced to intervene. I don't know how she ended up molting the way she did, but the...

    Scorpendra's Tarantulas

Certainly! I maintain the cooler temperature this species requires using a small container of ice water. Whenever it gets too warm, I plop an ice cube or two into there and it sucks the heat right out. I also keep the enclosure on a shelf low to the floor, which is typically slightly cooler...

Roughly 4 inches. I really love the species, I wish there were more in the US. I want to breed him, but I need to find someone with a mature female first lol
