Heres a link to a caresheet for Asian Forest scorps.
http://www.petbugs.com/caresheets/Heterometrus-species.html
I am actually considering buying a Hererometrus scaber myself.
What I would do if theres room for it, is to stable some books, cd's etc. under her until it alsmost reaches her
( make sure it is stable though ) so that if she falls, it's no more than 1/2 " or less. A 3" fall right after a molt would almost certainly be fatal, or atleast VERY damaging.
The only reason I said it was to give sort of an aspect of how warm it really gets. And yes, it was a regular bulb. Personally, I wouldn't use anything more than 40 - 60 W, but the again my invert room holds 75 F constantly.
And both those "extreme" bulbs and heating pads could get a little...
No, you will not get to pikc. He will throw in a free sling or pede or scorp, depending on what you order ( if you order only tarantulas, I'm sure he doesn't throw in a pede etc ... )
This is based on this forums members. Some one please correct me if i'm wrong.
Nope, no website. I read it in an article somewhere a time ago, and the price just stuck to my head.
I don't remember where I saw it, but it was an article on exotic animals and import issues.
But it may have been an old article ( absolutely NOT unlikely ), and prices may have gone down now...
I suppose your talking about Phyllium Giganteum?
There are dealers in America who sells them for about $139 for grown ups ... they are rather rare in the US, while in Germany you can buy 12 nymphs for €5 ( about $5 )
I really want both ... but then I don't know if I have enough space ( I want atleast two ) ... But can I keep the P. Murinus the same way someone posted they kept their H. Lividums ( in those slim tanks )
After all they are burrowers, so it should work, right?
You found a haplo in a petstore in Norway? Dang, I must be looking all the wrong places! The most exiting I've found here in Stavanger is a G. Rosea mislabelled as a G. Pulchra. Boy, would I like to buy a G. Pulchra for $20 ...
Yeah, I was leaning towards the L. parahybana ... I want a day-active t, instead of my lazy-butt rosea, who's been camping behind her scull for like two days now.
The only problem is they get so darn big!
I don't know if i'll have the place to contain them ... but, time will show.
