Sounds like you have a singapore violet (H. Robustum) not a blue. This happened to me as well. This is what mine looked like when it was small (juvie)
This is what she looks like now as an adult
True singapore blues have white bands not cream, look like a dark grape color under...
I'm board its the middle of the morning and nothing to do but take pictures of things... So I thought I would take some of my snakes and start a snake picture thread.

Aru type Green Tree Python
My other Aru

Do you mean like http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?t=113498 ? Those happen from time to time and I think in the thread some one even states they are a different species that tends to come in with imports.
When they are sling size they will look different and not be so vivid...
When I lived in Tucson I use to go hiking in the mountains alot. I found quite a few Tarantula's in Madera Canyon in particular. Never saw any on Mount Lemmon though.
Yep. Almost every one of my T's looks skinny after a molt. I just wait for them to harden up then feed them again and they regain their bulk rather quickly. I usually have a few that will molt on or around the same day. I'm not sure why but it tends to happen right before or after rain in my...
Can you try to get it in to a clear container? If you get a large deli cup or something like that you can cup over it and slide the lid under neath it and try to get some pics or a view of its underside for yourself.
I started digging around looking for dorsal sexing info all over the net. Then I found a few posts that seemed to discredit this type of sexing for pokies.
In this link the user posted pictures of 3 Regalis of similar size.

In my logic there are a few reasons. One T's normally hate it when you blow on them, two draft could be cold or hot adding to conditions that aren't ideal for your T, three if its a small T and a big enough gust comes through it can knock your T around (doesn't take much.)
I do use a...
How are you keeping your T?
First I would remove the T like you have, second clean out the enclosure, boil any decorations, put what you can't boil in the oven and toast them what ever you can't salvage those ways toss.
Reset up the enclosure.
Third don't put the T back in its...
Other then the sunlight... a few other dangers might be drafts and if it gets loose it might have a direct route out of your house (although they usually don't go far but who knows what awaits it out there.)
Striker - you might try a another pokie, Singapore blue, or (my second favorite T) Amazon Sapphire Pink Toe. Very similar care on all of these and they are all arboreal. I wouldn't worry about shipping if you are. Most of the sellers package their T's extremely well. If you want to see pics...
Pink toe. I love em. They do have hairs but they have to be on you to deposit them, doesn't mean they don't deposit them around their cages though. They do this little dance thing. I only have one that even tries out of 8 types, Avicularia Aurantiaca. My favorite is Avicularia Fasciculata.
Few days ago I was at the spa getting a facial. The lady doing the facial and I got to talking and I told her about selling my house and she was like your lucky I can't sell mine. She asked if I had kids and I said no just pets so she asked what kind of pets I had. I told her but not the...
