Does YOUR millipede fluoresce (or bioluminate)?

Cacoseraph, I have a species that will "glow" in my backyard here in texas when I get board and shine my UV light around. Once it warms back up I will start looking for them again and try to post up some photos both day and night. Nothing like the ones that you, josh and I found on the trip a...

What could live with my Spadix?

I have found H. spadix with both Paruroctonus boreus and Paruroctonus utahensis. Both of them are found in greater numbers within the same habitat as H.spadix. They might be an option if you can find them in the UK or you could try Smeringurus vachoni they are an impressive animal when full...

    Giant Water Bugs

Do you think that our bug collecting fore fathers ordered their bugs from some place in a book? No they did not they went out and toiled under the scorching heat and blistering cold, up and over the tallest mountains and through the deepest swamps to find their quarry. So get out from behind...

    Giant Water Bugs

If you are still wanting to find some find a pool with slower moving water and search around the base of any rocks or in the leaf litter at the bottom. What I have found to work pretty well is to get an aquarium fish net, I use the 5" size and put it in the water to the bottom of the pool and...

where can i find a box.....

What I use to do was to go to the local vets offices and ask them very nicely if they had any extra shipping boxes or offer to buy them when they get them in. They get them in when they get medications that have to kept cold in transit. Most offices will be happy for you to take care of...

    Shinning Out Females

That’s great, I didn’t know if the darker colorations of both of those genuses would hinder the use of flashlights for shining out the eggs in females. How big were the females when you were able to do this? Does it work on juvenile females?

    Wish KK made arboreal cages

I think that for an adult I would use a 12x12x18. I know that it is more room then what most people would use but with an adult having leg spawn of around 6-7" it might be nice to let them strech out. I use to take ten gallons and turn them vertical for Avicularia and Poecilotheria species...

    new fishbowl setup

I used the "turtle" bowls, low flat ones years ago in washington for keeping scorpions that I collected in eastern washington. It worked pretty well. I might have to try it again someday after seeing the photos of yours. Those look great.
