The Rosie I have eats everything I put in her tank. I usually feed her every other day. One or two crix, they are never in there the next day. She does not look bloated in anyway, so I assume that she is healthy. As for drinking, I have never seen her do it, but I make sure she always has...
This is a good question, the gut loading. I have cricket food for that, I guess I bought it out of habit from havin' lizards. I too wondered if it was beneficial...
O yah and WELCOME, very friendly, helpful people here....
Heh, heh...No, I have no intentions of hand washing my T :shame: :D
IMO...I do not think that "our" own defense systems could be harmful to a T.
I asked the question, because of all the chemcals that we come into contact with everyday....
I have read on the boards that Nicotine is poisonous to T's. So washing your hands after havin' a smoke and before handling your T makes sense. But what about the soap? Or all those anti-bacterial gels? Does anyone know of a comprehensive list of products(brand names and such) and or...
Nice pix. I know this is a pix thread, but I would like to ask a question about your substrate. You said you used Bed-a-Beast, that is a specific brand right? I used a similiar product before, made by a top name pet product company. After that batch I used a generic form, and did not like it...
Should you take the time and clean up old webbing? Such as all the webbing spun on the ground around the hide. Does this matter or not, what about cricket bits in the webbing? Is it good to clean it up and give your T something to do?
the only thing i was concerned about was that on the one I saw, where they drink from is kinda small, which I thought would be good so crix don't drown. My question was if the T's would have a harder time drinking from them??
I too have been wondering about these. There was one at DeathCo that actually looked like a tall rock. I was gonna get it, but like you, wasn't sure if it would be a worthwhile purchase...
Sorry it's not actually an answer to your post...
This all seems very possible. I have had my Rosie since december and after acting exactly the same for 3 months she molted. She has now completely changed her daily routine. Like people seem to say on these boards, "Rosies are wierd."
But your theory seems sound...as well as 'chaser's...
Cool, nothing in her enclosure changed. So I was just kinda confused on the sudden everyday pet rock to -----> all over the place behavior change. Which is actually a nice change {D
I know, I know G. Rosea act strange. Justed wanted to ask a question to see what others had to say. Have had my Rose hair since december, she seemed to move in real well. Dug out her hide and webbed stuff up. She molted two weeks ago. After one week I fed her and she ate nicely. The funny...
Don't know actually. Didn't really know what to look for as far as mature features. If it was a male he sure didn't look real healthy. Not sure why I say this; maybe it was just an overall appearance of the creature. Could you imagine buying him for $250, only to find out it was a mature...
Hi all this another pet store species mix up kinda question. Went down to the Exotic pet store by my house to get some crix and while I was there I took a look at his T's. There were 2 marked Brazilian Blacks(G. Pulchra). The first looked pretty much like all the pix I have seen. The other...
I think my favorite eating scenario is when a cricket gets snagged up in some webbing near homebase and the T is not really near it. The next thing you know the T shoots from where it was to pounce on the crick(spider senses tingling...heh heh). I guess it's the proverbial fly in the web idea...
