Yes they are Australian, but there is a millipede that is very common especially in south Australia that can at times invade peoples homes in plague proportions. It is referred to as the Black Portuguese millipede and is an introduced species (a pest).

As promissed some photos of my green millipedes, this species of Spirobolida is unknown so maybe i've hit a gold mine.

There is a calcium powder you can purchase from good pet stores, its made for reptiles mainly but it will work for your millipedes. Just sprinkle the powder over thier food. Another way is you could get...

yeah i worried alot at first... you have to wait days/weeks to figure out what they are doing... dont over care for it... i leave mine alone unless i mist 1-2 times a day (like 2-3 pulls of the trigger, its dry and hot atm) and when i feed them.
