My friend said he found a copperhead living near his property, he's seen it many times and would like to get rid of it. He was just going to kill it but I offered to take it if he would let me. I just wanted to know just how serious is the venom of the copperhead? If it's something to worry...
I would have to say I think a T would win most of the time though. They just seem alot stronger and quicker. I don't know much about scorps, but I think a T just looks faster, my H. Lividum can move at speeds I can't evens imagine, and I just think that a scorp doesn't look like its built to...
Yeah, last time my blondi molted it took a little longer for it to harden up and take food. It did the same thing your describing with your blondi, just hung around the bowl not stretching out much, but now my blondi is a cricket eating fiend... should be fine.
Haha, that's so awesome. How big is it? Have any idea what kind it is? Sometimes Salticidae spiders are hard to identify because of the different color morphs they come in. Anyways real nice pic!!
Bah, you don't need caresheets. I personally hate caresheets. Anyways They're pretty aggressive spiders and will usually take down anything smaller than themselves, try feeding it flies or ants.
Why is everyone so interested in buying jumping spiders? Theres probably more than you can count...
It takes some time for their abdomens to get back to a reasonable size, they wont inflate like balloons, and since your blondi is just molted, its probably taking its time, My blondi took a really long time to finish eating its first crick after a molt. But now I cant get it to stop. Just give...
Only if they're subjected to a cold environment, the only reason they stay in the sac is because of winter. If they are kept in a semi-warm environment they will venture out to look for food. So, if you keep it inside they will come out soon, if you dont want to deal with them yet, put the some...
I got my scorp around christmas time last year, and it didnt eat any food until about the middle of summer, and it has only recently started to eat more frequently. My scorp seems to want to be a rosie instead of an emp.
My blondi's legs got stuck in a molt. I just took a pen, or something smaller in your case, and pulled the legs out. I just did it slowly and carefully. My blondi is about 3" LS now so maybe a toothpick or something to try and pull it out. My blondi didn't react to my interference at all, and if...
I'd say a molt soon, the colors look dull. My freshly molted b. smithi colors look more vibrant than yours. But she looked just as dull as yours before she molted. Good luck.
I cought a northern water snake as well. They're pretty cool. I just buy fish from the pet store for her. She goes nuts. I have her in a 10 gallon w/ rat bedding. She loves to burrow under it. I just have a hide for her and a very large water dish, about 2/3 the length of the tank, the...
I feed exclusively cricks. I only feed pinkies every once in a blue moon. But my blondi is starting to get a little larger so I may have to start on a diet of pinkies and fuzzies. I don't think I could ever feed a T a lizard. I just like lizards way too much.. To hell with mice though :wicked...
I agree w/ mike, high temp and humidity is overrated. My blondi has had no problems and I just keep a full water dish, and mist every so often. I don't think you need to worry about the blondi getting caught in a tunnel collapse. They are very good at making their homes sturdy. My .5" H. Lividum...
I Voted no. If you buy that T, it will only encourage the petstore to buy more T's and put them in bad conditions. Plus that is alot for a blondi. I got mine for $40. Granted its about 1/8 the size of the one you're looking at buying, but I have the fun of raising my T. I don't like buying T's...
